I just saw a commercial for JCPenny about them starting their Black Friday sale tomorrow at 3p.
I know they're far from the only ones, but, that's just sooo flippin' wrong on sooo many levels, all the way around, IMO.

Wrong is such a polite word. Today is for family and friends!

Thank you very much. I went to bed very early yesterday so I did sleep. I'll be keeping odd hours for the next 3 days but they will be fun.

I dislike going to the grocery store, let alone special sales. Just not worth the savings to me.

I like my farm markets, grocery stores not so much sometimes But I'm going shopping early tomorrow morning because some things like fabric I like so get in person and I'm hitting the grocery store because it will be almost empty I like going out on Black Friday but then again as you know I have a few issues

I wonder how long until "black friday" ends extending all november and Christmas is announced starting late july...

I may have mentioned it before but craft and fabric stores(at least in my area) seem to start getting Christmas items out around the 4th of July. To me that makes sense because I need time to get done what I'm making for the holidays as for the rest

Amen. At least in MA, the (major) stores can't open until after midnight for the Black Friday sales. (An exemption is given to the little mom & pop corner stores, but most of them close down voluntarily.) There's something to be said here for the puritanical "Blue Laws" in MA--controlled by the MA Attorney General's Office, Fair Labor Division.

I made an appointment with the ER recommended surgeon for next Thursday, so we'll see what he says.
I'm really not worried since anything malignant or life-threatening seems to have been completely ruled out.
It's just frustrating that none of the medical professionals I've seen, so far, can definitively tell me what it is.
Am I the first person on the the planet to have ever had this...or, am I really an alien...!!!

Tsk, tsk. I can't believe they haven't consulted with Dr. McCoy (Bones) yet for your affliction --

I'm sorry about your son, no one should be bullied. That's just horrible. I hope you can pinpoint the bully. I was bullied by my sister. This makes for a miserable life. I did get over it, I just figured she was a very unhappy person too. But no one deserves this...

Bullies go after their targets to compensate for their own lack of self esteem. Pathetic.

Ha! Little Fella was an expression my dad used a lot about other guys--it could be either complimentary or insulting, just depending upon the person and the situation! (P.S.: Yours was complimentary. )

An awesome wedding. My oldest and dearest friends, their youngest sons wedding and singing is their older two children at one of our most rural churches. Of course we share our love of Disney and it comes through in the musical choices.

Just an fyi for Thanksgiving night -- there's a Disney TV special on ABC. I'll give it a chance to see how it is--I used to love the Disney specials, before they turned into overt advertisements, and musical performances from people I could care less about.

But the one thing that I think I'll like about this new one is that Derek Hough is one of the headline performers. I think he is an incredibly talented dancer.
