Love love love love love Mr. Magoo Christmas Carol. It's actually very touching, with uncommon embellishments.

A song sung by young Ebenezer:

"A hand for each hand was planned for the world
Why don’t my fingers reach?
Millions of grains of sand in the world
Why such a lonely beach?

Where is a voice to answer mine back?
Where are two shoes that click to my clack?
I'm all alone in the world..."

And I pretty much worship Rankin/Bass - except "Jack Frost."

I agree--it's surprising how well Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol was done. The musical score went above and beyond for a cartoon feature. And I thought that the refrain in the song, from the scene with the robbers (after they had raided Scrooge's house--bed curtains and all - :D ) was so much fun to sing along with--LOUDLY, like the characters did. (Remember that song that started with, "La, la, la la la la lahhhhhhhhhh!!!" :joyfull: )

If I worked north of the lake/river, which is where we live, even if my job was way further away than it is now, I would have multiple alternate routes to work. But, since I have to travel south over the lake/river there are only 4 routes south I can take, and the other 3 routes are so many miles out of the way it's ridiculous.
Traffic is gettin' crazier here every year with all the folks movin' here year after year, but, this seemed to be some sort of anomaly tonight...I hope... :cyclops: ;) :)
I have to take an expressway to get to work. If there's an accident blocking several lanes, my phone will have me get off and then have me get back on past the problem. It's lovely.

I hear ya, though. There's two main routes I can use to get to school, but if there's problems, there are alternate backroutes.. :)

The real meaning in Figgy's case is we need "proof" that the stuff she throws together with ingredients that have to be shipped in from a distant star, because they don't exist in a human world, is actually bread. And how can it be called bread, it isn't made like bread that is defined as bread. Maybe they should call it breadwannabe or perhaps dread for short.

Yikes. Sorry.

One of the nicest things since getting a data plan for my phone has been that now if traffic gets bad, my phone suggests a way around it. One day I was headed down to work, and there was a bad backup that would have made me 30 minutes late if I had sat through it. My phone detected it and took me around, and I ended up getting to work right on time. I don't care that data costs me $15 extra per month; it is SO worth it.

Speaking of which, I just noticed that AT&T increased my data plan from 3 GB per month to 4 GB per month. Without charging me anything more!:joyfull: Which is good, because I just about used 3 GB this month. I had rollover data, so technically I had 6.8 GBs, but still.
this seems global to all clients. I got the increase when I prepaid a year of service.. I get 4.5 Gb for the price of 3. 6gb plan gets 12 and so on..
