Have a great time, and a safe journey. We still like pics!:happy::happy:

I'll post a few, but I will definitely be doing a trip report.

I give myself a pep talk everyday

Every day I give myself a pep talk which is "When all this is over, you're going to Disneyland." Yesterday I was getting particularly frustrated and started looking up places to drink in California Adventure.

Go Team Go!!! I may have said similar things today to myself today about WDW @StarWarsGirl .

I have a silly and not important decision to make. Next week we'll be hosting Thanksgiving Yea and not so much LOL Any way what to wear is the question. Seeing we're hosting semi formal seems like the right decision but we're doing BBQ and traditional food, what should I do semi formal or casual? Either way I'll need to get or make something as nothing I have seems to fit:joyfull:

I suggest stretchy pants for a Thanksgiving feast!:)

Good grief!
First 2 miles of my commute home tonight took just over an hour...!!!
No accidents, just that congested in that area.
Even the traffic reporter on the radio was perplexed...roads all over town the same way.
It's like everyone left their jobs at such a time that we all just ended up in the same place in traffic at the same time. :cyclops:
Once I got past that intersection at the 2 mile mark, the other 12.9 miles only took a little less than 30 mins. ...!!! :hilarious:

I love White Christmas too, you have to have been brought up in the 40's and 50's in the mid west to appreciate Christmas Story. I love Ralphie, and Randy. My brother wanted a bb gun, and was told he would shoot his eye out. He got one anyway, my dad bought it! ;););)

I wasn't raised in the Midwest in the 40's and 50's and I still appreciate A Christmas Story...! ;)
I also like White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, and also It's a Wonderful Life.
Although the latter is a bit of a wild ride at times, the sentiment and ending make it all worthwhile, to me anyway.
Many other good Christmas movies, too! :)

Black and white is the only way to watch that movie. I also love the black and white versions of A Christmas Carol--especially the 1938 one.

In color, I like Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, and the 1964 version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Have seen the '38 version of A Christmas Carol and love it too. :)
I can't remember the last time I saw Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, but, I do remember watching it many, many years ago and it being pretty funny...!!! :hilarious:
The Rankin/Bass Rudolph is one of my earliest Christmas TV memories.
Among others, I also remember the Andy Williams Christmas specials. :)

Yikes. Sorry.

One of the nicest things since getting a data plan for my phone has been that now if traffic gets bad, my phone suggests a way around it. One day I was headed down to work, and there was a bad backup that would have made me 30 minutes late if I had sat through it. My phone detected it and took me around, and I ended up getting to work right on time. I don't care that data costs me $15 extra per month; it is SO worth it.

Speaking of which, I just noticed that AT&T increased my data plan from 3 GB per month to 4 GB per month. Without charging me anything more!:joyfull: Which is good, because I just about used 3 GB this month. I had rollover data, so technically I had 6.8 GBs, but still.

Love love love love love Mr. Magoo Christmas Carol. It's actually very touching, with uncommon embellishments.

A song sung by young Ebenezer:

"A hand for each hand was planned for the world
Why don’t my fingers reach?
Millions of grains of sand in the world
Why such a lonely beach?

Where is a voice to answer mine back?
Where are two shoes that click to my clack?
I'm all alone in the world..."

And I pretty much worship Rankin/Bass - except "Jack Frost."

If I worked north of the lake/river, which is where we live, even if my job was way further away than it is now, I would have multiple alternate routes to work. But, since I have to travel south over the lake/river there are only 4 routes south I can take, and the other 3 routes are so many miles out of the way it's ridiculous.
Traffic is gettin' crazier here every year with all the folks movin' here year after year, but, this seemed to be some sort of anomaly tonight...I hope... :cyclops: ;) :)

I was in New Mexico last year . Did Albuquerque, Santa Fe and up. North western, central, and north eastern. Agree, pretty state. I think north eastern and central was the pretties for met. Many thinks to see in New Mexico, as all western states.

Yep, have been to all of those areas of New Mexico, and yes, beautiful state, as well as the other western states. Definitely agree about the northeastern part of the state. I have been there in summer and winter. Red River, Taos, Cimarron, etc. Love it...! :)

No, please no. I love Space Ship earth, I just wish it would be finished. Not a fan of the lights. Boring!!!

Yea, they've jacked with that classic enough, as it is.
Although, the light show would only be projected on the outside of the sphere. ;)
Never rode with Lawrence Dobkin's narration version, but, definitely the other 3. Irons was my favorite. I grew up with Cronkite on the nightly news (kind of an honorary Texan - his family moved to Houston when he was 10, and he attended The University of Texas ;)), and his version is easily my second favorite. Dench's is OK, but, so darn dumded-down (not her fault, per se). So much there left unattended to that could still be awesome, IMO.

Seems like you picked a nice college in an area that you enjoy. Glad to hear that all is going well, and thanks for dropping in here once in a while, to let us know how things are going. I assume you'll be going home for Thanksgiving break? Don't forget to SLORFT!!! (Save Lots of Room for Turkey! ;) )

Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious:

That's, almost ;), better than TSSFFBR...!!!!! :joyfull: :)
