by the way, theres 2 types of Flans in Mexico, the water one which is pretty flavourless. And usually poor people eat them. Since its cheaper.
The Restaurant flan in the other side, packs a lot of flavor and is similar to he creme brulee in texture. I always hated the diluted one and preferred the restaurant dense one with milk.

also yikes.. I wonder if I should make a list if I ever go to WDW during food and wine and get similar offers. a lot of what you mentioned sound delicious!

Food and wine is a great time to go, and flower and garden has a lot of good food too. The flan I had at Epcot was the best flan I have ever had, it was chocolate. N

I read or heard on the news somewhere that the newer Samsungs were catching fire while in airplane mode. Is that what this is?

Disney at their resorts only allow Mears Taxi's to pick up guests. Mears is the operator also of the Disney Magical Express. I forget which taxi company Universal allows in at their resorts but it is also only one vetted taxi company. There is quite the gypsy taxi problem in Orlando.
There were various Uber drivers that showed up at resorts while we were there. When we checked out of our resort, we waited that evening for my friend's husband to pick us up from CBR for a couple of hours and there were 3 different uber drivers that pulled up outside where the luggage check is to either pick people up or drop them off. No one ever said anything or made the uber drivers leave. There were also a few outside of the Poly while we waited one night. So I don't think it's necessarily who they "allow". I mean, the number of people who rent cars, or drive, or have family or friends who come pick them up, it would be kind of hard to say you can only use Mears. That would mean no one could drive their own car anymore. DH wouldn't use uber at all, but is there a way to tell an uber driver from just any person driving their own car?

Good day everyone. I'm back among the living. Yea! Doctor told me to take Benadryl for my stomach, and other stuff. Thing is, it knocked me out for three days and night. I took it around the clock. I would wake up eat some toast and go back to bed. Repeat for 3 days. We got our flu shots this morning. Going to Disney in 11 days, and I'm behind. Dr. said shots before going to Disney, to avoid another , more serious infection. At least that is done for the year. I missed you all, I see I need to do a lot of ketchup! Will try to do some more today. Have a great day, everyone!:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: to all.....
I'm so glad you are doing better and glad to have you back!! So....a week until Disney now?

College hack: unless there's a specific reason not to, most professors allow eating in class. The exceptions would be science classes where you're doing an experiment or computer labs, but as long as you're being discrete, bring food to class, even if it's just a sandwich from a cafe on campus. Because you will have days where you don't have time for lunch, but eating is still important. I have an evening class Tuesday nights, and a lot of times, I'll eat dinner in that class, along with other students. Not ideal, but it gets us fed.
My awesome aural theory teacher actually bought breakfast for the whole class a couple of times. It was an 8am class so people would show up not-so-bright-eyed or bushy tailed. There was a coffee and bagel stand in the hall, so she'd take the whole class and get us bagels and then we'd go back to class and be much better for it.

Almost all chocolate candy has dairy, even some things like hard candy have nut and peanut warnings on the label. I just like to be extra safe and my dh is trying to stay on his post vacation diet. No candy in the house helps with that.
One of my friend's daughter has a dairy intolerance, so she can't have chocolate. But another friend's children have celiac and she said it's amazing the candy's that have gluten in them...it's REALLY restrictive. So between nut, dairy, gluten, egg allergies and diabetes, there aren't really any candies that are safe for everyone.
