Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious:
Reminds me of myself and my 2 younger brothers (younger sis, not so much) back in the day. We ate like horses, but, we were so active our BMI was probably about 20. :)
I've posted this before, but, a coupla' years ago my folks financial planner was thrown a party by his company for 30 years (I think?) of being with his company. My folks were invited, too. In his speech, he specifically mentioned our family. He used to come over every now and again years ago while we were all still at home and meet with my pop at the dining room table. He said something to effect of "When I was at their house, I don't remember the refrigerator door ever being closed!" :joyfull: :hilarious:
If you were hungry enough to be included in a speech then I am certainly glad I was not your mother:joyfull: My DH really is just as bad. A human food vacuum.:banghead::joyfull::inlove:

Also, seems there are good news on the horizon, my boss told me he's about to make contracts with 2 companies. So hopefully I will start to get paid as I should soon.

As for more life progress..
I also inscribed myself to english classes (my entry test netted me in "intermediate-advanced" , aka level 13 , where 16 is "vantage" and level 20+ is "professional".
I am surprised the teacher said I could speak english fairly well despite being deaf. (yaay points for me).
Anyway, going to start in 2 weeks all saturdays.

I'm debating if I should just pay and get the darn TOEFL test to see my levels too. But I'm scared of the spoken portion.
Sometimes I needed to ask my teacher to repeat 3 times in a row to understand. And the TOEFL test only allows 2 repeats, and is using a computer speaker/headphones.

And then I'm facepalming as well, because it seems Canada has the IELTS standard and not the TOEFL one (TOEFL=US english test, IELTS = European).
Going to have to ask if the school im going to go has IELTS tests too.
Do they not offer special adaptation for disabilities for the tests? I know when I was in school, kids with Dyslexia got extra time to complete tests, even big tests like ACT and SAT for college entry. And I'm assuming that for hearing impaired students, they would allow extra repetitions. Otherwise, you'd be at a very unfair disadvantage.

Yeah, both times I'm glad I was in a hospital. Likely both my DS and I wouldn't have lived. DD I didn't even get to hold as they rushed her to th NIC unit from the fluids she inhaled. I don't like hospitals but it is nice to know all the necessary equipment is right there. With my DS they took me from my room to an OR and seconds.
Yeah, my ex-sister-in-law gave birth at home, but then the placenta broke and she was losing a bunch of blood and they had to rush her to the hospital to get it fixed and give her a transfusion. I wanted to be in the hospital just in case, and I couldn't get drugs at home anyway.

I went to a theater class last night, (it was supposed to be Musical Theater, but they only do music every other week and last night was not a music night. :cautious: The whole reason I went was because I wanted to see what the musical training part was like. :banghead:) and we had to improv a scene with a partner in which we each had a secret to tell the person. My partner and I were friends who were taking a cooking class together, and one of the things mentioned was that my husband will eat ANYTHING. That's pretty much it...human food vaccuum!

I dont think so, because TOEFL are tests required to "analyze" your level of english in normal circumstances in academical communication.
Same with IELTS, which check your level of english, capacity of writing and interacting on every day circumstances.

Sorry, @Cesar R M , I see that it was already brought up with the special accommodations.
Dont worry, the suggestions are nice. But I dont think these kind of plans I'm trying to do even offer deaf/hard of earing plans.
This is a "study and work" type program. So pretty sure its going to be limited in spaces AND dont think these kind of help to deaf/hard of earing are available for internationals.
