Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
I've been up for a couple of hours and I'm getting everybody to get the heck out!:D

Dear Lord that is early to be up but I do love the peace of early morning yet it has been a night of broken sleep but I really needed to sleep early last night. Lots of stupid yesterday. Poured a glass of wine crawled into bed and the wine is still on my nightstand. It was a thought I guess.

Hey, I slept crummy last night, too. No wine for me, though. I'm drinking some Starbucks French Roast coffee and hoping for the best--a busy day at work ahead. :depressed:

I still plan to fall back asleep, it is still an hour before the light will come through the windows. Starbucks might be the treat I need today. I did get enough sleep for me but it is very broken...likely a long day.

Just because I don't know if you guys check it, I'm posting the Key West portion of my trip report on the Trip Reports board right now. Honestly, if you've read one of my trip reports, you've read 'em all, but just letting you know in case anyone is bored out of their minds. ;)

Thanks, I love trip reports....I have so many followed right now...so far behind but I eventually get to them. Usually like this in the middle of my night. I love feel good reports. Me, photo's still not uploaded.

They are doing OK, they have mixed feelings but when all is said and done, she was their Mother and for the first 16 or so years she was always there for them and they do remember that. The later years were much more difficult in the close bonding neighborhood. But, death is an equalizer in these situations, so it really is just sadness and the realization of the end of an era. We all go through that with the loss of a parent, I think.
Well, I'm glad they are coping well. Did your grandkids have any sort of relationship with her? It's just hard on everyone. It's never ideal. It's good that they all have you, too, to talk to and to remind them of the good times. You've always sounded so supportive and I'm sure that means a lot to them...that even though you were divorced, you still supported their relationship with their mother and they could still come to you when it was about her, though I'm sure it was hard for you sometimes. Way to go, dad! You'll be in my prayers.

And I still wonder why she gets that much hate (Swift).
Specially from trash like Kanye.
Jealousy. Pure Jealousy. She's got real talent with song-writing and now she's rich and famous. People want what she has, so they have to trash her so they can convince themselves that she doesn't deserve it all as much as they do themselves. And for those who have the money and the fame, they are probably jealous of the talent. It's insecurity. They can't do what she does and they know that they could lose it all at any time (that industry is VERY fickle) and they don't have the talent to climb back to the top if that happens. Most of what we see in the News about Kanye is not very positive...he's an egotistical jerk with very little actual talent. He wants the accolades saying what an amazing artist he is, and how great of a role model he is, but he's NOT, so he doesn't get that and Taylor does. He's jealous.
