Ooops...!
When I was playing third base in little league baseball way back in the day, I remember catching a very hard hit short-hop ground ball right on the lower lip. Fortunately it didn't take out any teeth and there wasn't a whole lot of blood, but, that swole up like a balloon. This was on a Saturday, and I remember it still looked like heck when I went back to school on Monday morning...good times...!!!!! :hilarious:

There were plenty of Drunkies in the World Showcase and spilling over onto the Boardwalk after long before F&W started. We went to Cast Night the evening before Food and Wine Opened, it is like a test run. By then it was raining so much it really wasn't worth it though it did stop for EMHs. We went early (mistake) the following day. I was in awe in the amount of people especially locals in the WS on a Wednesday at 11am. Not an adult beverage for me sadly, it was midday and that showcase is freak'n hot without trees on the main walkway.

You could see alcohol taking its toll on guests real quick. I'd be ill long before I ever got to that point. If spaced out I can have 2 Dad's Electric Lemonades. My second because there wasn't that much time came from POR. The bartender originally said he didn't know how to make it so I told him (pulled up on a website) It was cheaper and far less ice to liquid ratio too!

My biggest consumption of liquids: Water

For about $10 or $15 and with free delivery to resort we ordered from Staples and had two large cases of water delivered and it was dropped in our room. We only left behind 4 bottles. With water being so expensive, $3 and we went through so much we will do this again. We only had 2 days that were HOT but most days were in the higher 80's so water was necessary. And because of that I can do a section of my trip report of the good bad and ugly when it came down to bright and shiny restrooms and the flip side-I wish I was a guy so I could use a tree instead (yes, got to see that.)

Good grief! You actually saw some guy using a tree...?!?!?! o_O  Again, good grief!!!

I too drink plenty of water while we're there. I just drink the complimentary water from the QSs. I have some adult beverages too, but, I make sure to still drink plenty of free water, as we usually go in July.
I've been drunk and dehydrated before back in the day...it's not pretty... :hungover:

My Doc has always said listen to your body. If you are thirsty, drink water. It works for me.

I handle heat pretty darn well without getting overheated, I don't carry any excess body weight and that seems to help. I can drink soda in between, liquor and heat >me, doesn't work at all. I've through the years have watched people enjoy beer on hot steamy days and can't process how they do that.

Most days I was down there it was 90 or pushing 90 with feel likes of upto 105, it was humid. But drinking water seemed to do it for me, so I did. Guess not everyone's bodies work the same way and some are likely more accustomed to warmer, humid climates than others. I tend to live on tea or coffee up here during the winter. When my friends visit from the south during the winter their bodies seem to cope less than ours with the more frigid weather. I've been told by many that it takes 2 years for those who move south from colder climates for their bodies to adjust to the climate change in the warmer months. I get that. Likely why I visit WDW more between Late October through April. September is still mighty toasty.

I have also heard over the years that many times when people think they are feeling hunger their body is actually thirsty.
I've experimented with it a coupla' times, and it seems to have merit, but, I usually like eating more than drinking water...!!! :hilarious:

I've never been drunk. Mostly because I'm too stingy to pay for more than one drink. Alcohol is expensive.:greedy:

Yes
I went to the MET today. The last time I was there was the first time I went to New York back in 2006. Before going I thought I didn't remember anything at all, but I actually remembered being in the part of the Egyptian section with the large body of water and temple buildings. It sure did bring back some memories.

To me the best part of the museum was seeing the paintings from the impressionism era.

I've never been drunk either. I'd much rather eat!! :D
Me too. :D Eating is way better than being drunk. The most drinks I've ever had was 3 1/2 spaced out over four hours, with food in between drinks. I was a bit tipsy, but not drunk. It was also at a graduation party, so it was free. And the person for whom the party was given is someone I really don't like, so I found the person much more tolerable after a few drinks.:hilarious:

There's a family history of alcoholism, so I'm extremely careful. The fact that I'm cheap is probably not a bad thing when it comes to alcohol.

Poor kitty...!
They're definitely similar to dogs in that respect...!!! :hilarious: :)
Cats can be even more demanding than dogs can be. Especially if they want attention. A dog will stand in front of you when it wants attention, but when you ignore them, they eventually leave you be, even though they look sad about it. A cat that wants attention will stand on you, lay on top of what you're doing, walk across your keyboard, get as close to you as possible...basically, they make it impossible for you to ignore them. And try going back to sleep when there's a cat that wants breakfast...it doesn't happen.:hilarious:
