In all fairness, trees need hydration too! I have often wondered though, if you drink a lot of water and then find yourself using the bathroom a lot, wouldn't that mean that you are drinking a lot more then you are using up in the form of dehydration? It always seemed to me that if you consumed the necessary amount, you would only get rid of what you put in to yourself and occasionally, as with any human, would need to use the facilities or the trees (which ever is easiest). Not a lecture, just a curiosity.

My Doc has always said listen to your body. If you are thirsty, drink water. It works for me.

I handle heat pretty darn well without getting overheated, I don't carry any excess body weight and that seems to help. I can drink soda in between, liquor and heat >me, doesn't work at all. I've through the years have watched people enjoy beer on hot steamy days and can't process how they do that.

Most days I was down there it was 90 or pushing 90 with feel likes of upto 105, it was humid. But drinking water seemed to do it for me, so I did. Guess not everyone's bodies work the same way and some are likely more accustomed to warmer, humid climates than others. I tend to live on tea or coffee up here during the winter. When my friends visit from the south during the winter their bodies seem to cope less than ours with the more frigid weather. I've been told by many that it takes 2 years for those who move south from colder climates for their bodies to adjust to the climate change in the warmer months. I get that. Likely why I visit WDW more between Late October through April. September is still mighty toasty.

This is actually very clever.
If I ever go to DisneyWorld in the next years, I would definitively purchase some water in advance!
great tip gabe!

Thanks.

My DD researched and found Staples to be the cheapest that included free delivery. Their minimum was that you ordered 2 cases. Even if we only used one case we broke even at 5 bottles of water. And we didn't have to schlep it from the lot to our room.

As I said I was just curious about it. I have no real scientific data to back up either scenario. Now if you really want to get scared about how weird my brain works, as I was driving to meet my family tonight a thought passed through my mind. I don't know why, but it did and I wondered... since my X-wife passed away, does my status now change from divorced to Widower? Neither of us ever remarried and I know that according to the Social Security Admin. I could now draw her monthly SS if it was larger then mine, even though we have been apart for 15 years.

It doesn't really matter that much, but, when people ask and you say "I'm divorced" you just know that the first thing that pops into their minds is "OK, what did you do?" If you say widower, they all think... oh, that's too bad! Hey, I told you I sometimes think on the strange side.

That two year adjustment time is about right. I didn't really start to notice it getting cold to the point of my feeling chilly, until about two years after my move.

This evening we are headed to the Gala benefit for the non-profit pediatric cancer foundation that both DDs are on the BOD of.
The theme is 80's.
Pretty sure I can pull that off...! ;)

This Gala is a blast...!!!!! :joyfull:
The 80's hair cover band is takin' a break, but, they're really good...Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, etc....! :)

Can't seem to post a pic from here (Marriott ballroom) will try from home later...! :)

Had to back track to see where you were. Sounds fun. All I'd have to do is create the big hair era and I'd be in the 80's

For women, it's better to drink more water than you have to. For one, it ensures you're not getting dehydrated, but relieving oneself frequently because you're drinking a lot of water is not a bad thing. Going to the restroom too infrequently can cause UTIs in women, so it's better to just keep hydrated and use the facilities when you need them rather than not drink enough to avoid using the restroom, at least if you're a woman. For men, I dunno. I probably know as much about men's health as men know about women's health. ;)

Oh, I don't know about that there seems to be a huge bunch of old republicans that are just deliriously concerned about Mrs. Clintons well being and fitness. Never have they shown so much concern over woman's health.

You are correct. IF her SS is larger you can take hers vs yours. You were married long enough to qualify for that even if she had remarried.

And on that note, how are you guys doing?

If she were a man, no way would anyone scrutinize her health as they have. I don't support either party, but I have a great deal of respect for what she had to go through as a woman to get where she is today.

And that is the last I will say on that subject.

We are doing fine. We all went out to dinner at Olive Garden just in an effort to get a little normalcy back into our (their) lives. All, as you would suspect are a little saddened, but, also relieved that her problems are now over and everyone else can go back to the business at hand, which is the life goes on part of things.

Yep. I am so close to all that right now. Still waiting for my Mom to achieve that. She is still squirrely. Glad you guys are bonding and pulling together, that helps.

My Mom is in NY this weekend to visit my niece at her University with my Sis. At the airport she called me before 6 am (I let the machine pick it up cause I just came home from Disney at night) She had a half an hour till her flight......Oh no Gabe the taxi was early and I didn't want him to start blaring his horn in the middle of the night. I think I left lights on can you go over and turn them off. I'm so afraid I left lights on. Sure Mom, I'll drive 1 1/2 hours to your house and back again to turn your light off............me I called the neighbor with the key and had them turn the light off.

Good point. I've only had one UTI infection after childbirth. Now that you say that I remember them telling me to drink fluids frequently. Problem is during the birthing process they didn't let you drink fluids. Go figure. That manchild of mine caused all sorts of issues being brought into the world that day, he even broke my tail bone so the UTI was nothing in comparison to that. There are so many reasons my kids were 5 years apart, surprised I had a second. Time heals all wounds I guess.

An excuse to wear my Wayferes at night, and the girls did a pretty good job of recreating the look...! :)

Actually Wayferes RayBan's are pretty darn close to my very current RayBans.

Ha! I agree.

I tried to power through phenomena once. It was actually an infection in my gallbladder that of course had to travel into a lung. My 'I am Woman' philosophy didn't prevail and wound up in the ER room in the middle of the night. It wasn't a pleasant week besides my best efforts and I was a heck of lot younger than Hillary.

Having been an elected public official on a much smaller scale, though with the same sort of nonsense, it certainly isn't fun. I know why I did it, I had a goal to change policy which I did but I've had way too many moments of why the heck did I throw myself into the crazy bin.
