The rumor is true, it's just a matter of when.

Let's just say I work for an organization that should downside and I never cared for this place in my life. I only started working here because I had nothing else.

Have you gotten your resume out there in hopes of finding something better? Good luck those are never fun rumors to hear.

Well, yesterday turned out to be quite the day.

Some sad news today. After a prolonged illness, my wife of 29 passed away last evening. Although we were divorced several years ago, I spent almost half my life as her husband while we grew a life, raised a great family, operated a business and generally worked through the many trials and tribulations of life.

She was a woman of many accomplishments including two Masters Degrees, one in Nursing and the other in Gerontology and many other talents as well. She was not without her problems, but, overall did the best she could against many personal hardships. I am going to do my best to remember the good times, the dreams and the successes because in the long haul that is all that really matters. Rest In Peace, Gail!

I am very sorry to hear this.

Thank you for always being classy when talking about her. She was a significant and important part of your life, and mother to your girls. As such, you could never erase her. Good on you for never diminishing her roles.

Doing a live trip report is a lot of work. Problem is, I'm bummed once I get home, and never want to do it. It's live or nothing - much easier without kids.

so my work is mixed with full time contractors and regular workers. A couple regular workers gave their two weeks yesterday fueling the rumours from earlier this year that the place will disappear soon.

I haven't gotten a job I want since college so....

Quarter-day Friday for meeeeeee...!!!!!!!
I met my deadline this morning and that partner has back to back meetings 'til this afternoon. 2 other partners are out of town, and the other won't have anything breaking 'til Monday.
What a bummer...

This reminds me, I should go get the phone so when the phone rings and it is a telemarketer I can pick it up and then hang up (then I don't have to hear the answering machine play). We were on the do not call list but we still get calls.

It seems that when people ask to be put on the "no call" list they, somehow, end up on the "call me even more" list...

Depending upon the reason why a specialist MD is needed, it can take a few months to get an appt. as a new patient. Unfortunately, that's not at all uncommon.

Maybe the Dr.'s think we only have a few month's.

Yea, we've never gone for more than a week, so I can pretty much put everything in a carry on.
I pack light. There's not a whole lot I need.
It's probably a holdover from my backpacking days. The first time I went my pack weighed (yes, we weighed them) 43 lbs. By the next trip I had it down to 27 lbs. The one after that weighed in at 22 pounds, and give or take a little, that's pretty much where it stayed thereafter.

Yep, that was the biggest problem with both of ours...gristle. I don't mind a bit of fat, even beyond the all-important marbling, but, too much gristle in a steak off putting.
And, ours really weren't all that flavorful, either.

We have only done lunch. It's good to me, but nothing special.

Don't get me wrong, It's a beautiful place, but it's definitely not fine dining...it's themed dining.
To that end, I think most of us get that.
