That is actually the situation. I was spending that much each year just to keep it on the road, so if I'm going to spend it, I might as well have a new one. At least I won't be any worse off and I hopefully will be able to depend on a car again.

I am very upset and I know it's irrational because it's just a car, but, as I tried to explain to one of my daughters, since I retired and I now rent in a pleasant, but not fancy, apartment building, I don't own anything of quality. That was my connection to the good life and I did very much enjoy driving it and pushing all those buttons. Just hanging on to the old things, nothing else was staying stable either and it can all have a cumulative affect over time.

Now my grandkids are not going to elect to ride with me anymore, because they will not have all those special little "extras" to play with. What will they do without their automatic rear window and rear side window sunscreens. Or the cool air blowing up through the seats in the summer and warm air in the winter, or for me, the steering wheel heater or the lumbar massage feature in the seats. I'll miss my 6 CD player and built in GPS, Boise sound system and a number of other things that I never even used, but it was nice to know they were there.

I'm hoping not to spend as much time at the repair shop now, then I have in recent years. I haven't owned a VW since 1967 and that was a bug, however, it was pretty dependable even if the manifold heater burnt a hole in your leg trying to keep Vermont winters at bay. I liked the looks of this one and that is why I went that way. As far as I am concerned from now on a car is just a car. I'm old enough now to turn in what little remaining testosterone I still possess. :joyfull:
You could always buy those modern mitsubishi or medium end car. they have tons of buttons (most of them useless according to top gear lol) to keep you busy :hilarious:

But yeah, not easy to let a baby go after that many years of having it.
I still havent let go my dad's car. Which was a "high end" (back then, with all electric, all whistles..etc..) Ford Focus rancher style car.
It wont be long until I will have to say good bye as well (tons of repairs lately, so far it has costed me between 1,000 to 2,000 USD on repairs (and trust me, repairmen/mechanics charge here like 10% of what americans mechanics charge. So pretty extensive repairs on engine AND brakes stuff)

Also, you mean BOSE sound system?
I swear BOSE while good, is pretty overrated and overpriced. Kinda like the Apple of the sound systems.
I still remember when Harman Kardon were super popular and the "luxury audio" brand to go for audio stuff before falling down again.

This is the exam where you can't wear deodorant. Women will know what I'm talking about.:in pain::in pain::in pain:

I had never heard of this before, but, it was the exam I was thinkin' it probably was...DWifey verified. I asked her why no deodorant, and she said she didn't really know.
I haven't googled, but, I'm going to assume it has something to do with the imaging of the lymph nodes in the under arm area.
I'm no doctor, but, I play one on the interwebs. :cautious:  ;)

No
nope, I like her songs.
Maybe you just hate the overhype regarding her?
Must it just is my pickiness.

We have an all girls choir at school, and the director asked if there were any suggestions. There are a bunch of Freshman who kept suggesting Adele. I absolutely cannot stand Adele. If I hear one of her songs, I flip the radio off. You cannot tell what she's saying, she doesn't give her performance any nuances at all, her songs basically just repeat the same pattern over and over again...cannot stand her. Definitely don't want to sing her stuff in chorus. Based on the look on the director's fave, I don't think we will.

I respect Adele as a person, but good grief, I can't stand her music.

You just described the majority of the singers of the past 20 years.
Also, arent you exaggerating a bit? I can even understand what she is saying and that is a given considering my deafness :P

Were people intoxicated already on the first day?

We've never been to F&W, but, I've heard many stories (be they exaggerated or not) about folks on the inaugural night (as well as through the whole "celebration") bein' poop-faced, floor-crawlin', commode-huggin' drunk.
Many face dates with the porcelain God.
Personally, I don't want to be plastered at WDW. A cool buzz every now and then, but, not three sheets to the wind bombed.
