Yes, they do! But aside of the eye candy appeal for the ladies watching the race, these "fire suits" can save lives. They're all rated by the SFI Foundation, to withstand between 1,800 and 2,100 degrees, the temperature of gasoline fires.
The first "car" I ever learned to drive, at age 13, was a '63 International Harvester pickup with "three on the tree" (3-speed manual, steering column shift). Alternated between stick and manual for several years, but, I've been drivin' stick for the last 26+ years straight. Give me a decent-performing ride with a 5-speed manual tranny on an open, winding, Texas Hill Country road, and I'm in. Sitting in traffic to and from the office, not so much. My latest, newer, ride is automatic, for that reason.
Dimples left us?
Isn't it funny, that driving a stick shift is considered Advanced when it was how it all started and that automatic was the advancement. I know why it's referred to that now, but, my how things change. But, I am (see below)A stick shift??!! WOW! You're ADVANCED!!!
I'm just old.
I prefer to think of it as Matured to Perfection.Naw, we don't say old, we just say experienced!

I blame the drug addiction :/
No, Lilly Dimples is still with us. I still drive her around the neighborhood. As I posted a while back, she's just gettin' a bit long in the tooth, so I acquired a bit of backup.
Yeah, we still have 'ole blue, if nothing else an emergency backup. Glad Dimples is still chugg'n along.
Currently watchin' "Monsters, Inc." on ABC Family.
Up next, "Finding Nemo", and then "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
No kidding??? I learned on a 1964 International Harvester Scout, but it had a 3 on the floor!!!
I liked it better too.Cool we watched Tangled tonight. We invited one of our good friends over to watch with us and have dinner. She said she liked it better than Frozen. I may have put that thought in her head though!
