Sorry for what is going to be a bit of a sad post, gang, but our beloved little cat, Spooky, passed away late Sunday night due to a sudden blood clot. We rushed him to an all night emergency pet hospital and they said it was basically inoperable and told us we needed to put him to sleep. His entire back half was paralyzed due to the clot and he was in terrible pain.

The rational part of my brain keeps saying that it was just a cat, it was just a cat, but the rest of my brain is wrecked. Spooky was part of the family, and was a wonderful friend. I can't believe he is gone.

This life is one wild ride, isn't it? :(

OMG, Buddy. Spooky was beautiful, and I'm sad that he passed away. Perhaps you can take some comfort in knowing that you and Phil gave him a loving home, and that he was very happy with both of you. I know how awful the loss of a beloved pet can be. When my previous dog passed away, I was devastated over it for many months. Still, to this day, when I look at her picture, it's painful. Pets are definitely members of our family, and don't let anyone tell you that they are not.

I used those "wheels", when I was your age. It was so fun to feel the freedom of being on the road!

There's no age limit to enjoying an outdoor bike ride--fun for everyone!! :) (I sometimes ride mine on the weekends, but only early in the morning before any real traffic hits the roads. People around here drive too fast and don't pay attention to safety, sometimes on their stupid phones . . . :banghead: )

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. And Spooky wasn't just a cat, as you said he was a part of your family and as with the loss of anyone (human or furry) it is always a sad loss. :(

Sidebar here (and a Buffett fan too) but I could possibly get roped back into attending church services if your DH was my Pastor. A Disney loving, Tiki bar tailgator, what's not to love about a Pastor-Dude that get's real life on earth??? :inlove:

Yes, he is very much a normal guy. I think that is why the people in the congregation love him so much, and he does a lot of stupid stuff to make them laugh. I couldn't be with someone who had a holier than thou attitude, and he certainly doesn't. In fact shortly into our first date he asked me what my favorite swear word was! I laughed of course, I'd never been asked that on a first date. He wanted to break down any pastor stereotypes I had right away. Oh, our church does put his sermons and parts of the services on YouTube every week if anyone is ever interested.

Here are a couple examples of what we do tailgating at Jimmy Buffett concerts. This is of Brad at one of the concerts in Chicago, and the other is us in Indianapolis with the Tiki Bar my dad built for us (I decorated it).

The only Pizza I've had in Mexico is Shakey's. I don't care for it in the states so I found it mediocre in Mexico too.

I find every pizza place to be very different here in the US. Even the chains. My favorite pizza from a child was and still is Barnaby's pizza. There were 4 that I knew of in the NW suburbs of Chicago. One that has an Inn after the name just isn't anywhere near the taste of the others. Go figure. There are two around my Mom's house and I will often pull out of the driveway order and pick up on the pilgrimage home. The only downside to their pizzas is the size. The small is really small. The Large is more a medium. It has a very thin crispy crust so tummy needs more.

I love pizza too! Could eat multiple times a week. I use to like Pizza Hut 20 some years ago but they changed their dough and cooking style and I can't stomach the dough or crust, too greasy and my tummy is too old for all that. Most of our Pizza Hut restaurants have gone out of business around here and they went to a take out Domino's type platform with their new style of pizza.

I cook pizza's year round on a pizza stone on our grill.

A Shakeys! As a kid we used to have a Shakey's by us and it was great. I haven't seen them around in a long time.

Pizza Hut has always been a favorite. I was a HUGE fan of the Book It! program they ran when I was a kid. I loved getting the personal pan pizza and I loved to read so it was never a problem getting my certificate. I was always leading the class in the most books read.

Their deep dish was always my favorite, but now it is just too greasy for me and too much crust. We usually get the hand-tossed when we go there. Although every once in a while I will want something super greasy and we will go deep dish.

Well color me curious again, why?

My guess, and maybe Betty can confirm it is because of s safety issues and the news stories of safety and people using Uber. But when in reality some of those things could probably happen when using a cab too. I mentioned using Uber a couple times to hubby while we were down there in June and he didn't want to. (Although I think part of his reasoning was that it wasn't free and Disney buses were free.)

I'm going to tell my DS about this Sandwich. He can live on sandwiches. When I go to Sunshine I generally go for a hot meal, they do them quite well where many QS's don't so I take advantage. When it is hot I don't do well with fast burger, fried foods etc., so I seek out different but I'd try this one if I hit up Season's more than once in Epcot. Thanks for the tip!
The sandwich is my standard order. Nice break from the typical fast food. It's probably one of the best sandwiches on property. They also have really good soups at season. Including a halfway decent MD crab soup. Not as good as what you get in MD, but still very good. Although they wanted to add cheese to the top. Cheese does not go in crab soup.

Also, not sure your ds is aware, but they still have some Helly Hansen products in Norway. Not nearly as many as before, but they are there.

Cheese belongs in everything! :);) Although I have heard that cheese and seafood don't mix. Although because I don't eat seafood I don't know about that. :hilarious:

I tend to agree with your DH. The buses are free and we always use them. There have been a few times a taxi was taken. I can remember one that just annoyed the heck out of me where I should have but didn't think it through. My DS and I had a night reservation at Boma and we got out of AKL likely around 830 pm.

We were staying at the Coronado but needed to take bus to Studio's to take a bus back to then to the Coronado. We waited a long while for the Studio bus and when we tried to board the driver said no as the Studio's was closing so he was only returning guests to resorts not transporting everyone waiting was ticked. We were told to board the MK bus, 7 mile and then connect back to the Coronado another 5 miles. We did and had to wait a long time again for a MK bus and then board a bus still at MK to come all the way back to the Coronado. On the bus to the MK I wondered to myself why the heck I didn't just take a taxi with Coronado to close to AKL. Less than 5 miles between the two resorts, not exactly an expensive taxi ride.

Depending on where we are staying we also will hop a taxi to the Water Parks as it is a convoluted

Mom only allows me to ride my bike in my community and on the bike trails there. Not on the main roads.
