My feet sweat terrible, so I could never wear two pairs of socks. I did just recently switch from 100% cotton socks to polyester, and now I don't get that itchy rash that I always got in the warmer months of the year. I also finally found a good cream that doesn't make my skin itch, and actually softens the dry chapped skin. At least I am headed in the right direction.
I always had cold feet. Now, mine are normal. I don't have the sweating problem, yet.

I have a funny story about chasing a bear outta' our campsite in the middle of the night on a Rocky Mountain backpacking trip back in the early '80's.
I've probably told this story before, but, here goes...
It was the middle of the night, and, at one point, I was slightly awakened by something that I thought "sproinged" one of my tent ropes. Nothing more, so started heading back to Slumberland.
Next thing I know, one of the guys is yelling "Wake up! We got a bear in camp!"
I quickly threw on (didn't even bother to lace the boots) my wool socks and hiking boots, grabbed my flashlight, and ran outside.
The bear was up in one of the trees I had hung our bear bag between that evening.
Next thing I know, everyone is turned around looking at me and giggling...and it was a co-ed group...at that moment, I realized I had taken the time to at least put on my socks and boots, but, beyond that was helping come to the rescue in just my tighty whities...!!! :hilarious:
We finally chased the bear outta' the tree and camp, and laughed even more for a long time after that...!
That's a really great, funny story. Thanks for my laugh for the day!:happy::happy:

No, it's pretty obvious that they want adult only guests and want to avoid spring breakers at all costs so the higher "adult" age. You can vote at 18, but, you cannot drink until 21. Both are considered measurements of what is considered an adult.
I dont think you get my point.
She was mentioning arbitrary ages varying from 21 to 25 in different hotels.
Not all of them have the "21 and over".

I've heard of hotels that actually demand 25+ year olds only to book. so they are held "responsible" (aka the one with the credit card for damages).

In other news, my grandmha is frustrating us a lot.
We keep telling her not to carry dishes, pick up stuff. but she insists.. infact she makes sure we are on the second floor.. so she sneaks to try to do these we forbid her to do.
She CANNOT CARRY ANYTHING NOW. but she seriously is a mule.. stubborn.. I once had to literally dive to prevent her from falling after she insisted in carrying 4 heavy ceramic saucers.
Now I just told her 30 minutes ago that if she wanted to go out, so I could get her chair outside... (we had to pack everything inside since it rained VERY hard yesterday)... she said NO, that she would go outside in the afternoon.
No less than 5 minutes ago, she was trying to pick up the heavy chair by herself.. :banghead:

You're correct, I don't get your point. 21 and over is by age, but, it is legally by age because of the fact the we have more then one standard in this country. 18 and 21! 21 being the key factor here. They can easily become liable if there is a whole lot of underage drinking happening on their property and if something bad happens litigation then might kick in to determine if they have any liability concerning the underage factor. If they are at least 21 then they don't have to worry about that part of it. As for the "credit card", over 25, requirement, that is a completely different situation. Payment requirements are completely different animals.

I can't say I'm not without understanding for the corporations but I can't wrap my mind around the age discrimination that it appears to be at first blush. I wish we would just pick an age that is considered an adult and stick with it. This military 18, drinking 21, hotel 21-25, rent car 24, car insurance break at 25 etc etc I find the entire practice annoying. And if you do something illegal as a teen you can be charged as an adult. Really hard for me to wrap my brain around. :in pain:
For this hotel, I understand as it is a convention hotel. The only thing I disagree with is you'll pay an extra adult fee if you're 18-20 to stay in the same room as your parents. I think if they are going to make the minimum check-in age 21, you should be able to stay in your parents' room without paying extra.

Car rentals are kind of annoying. I think it should be based on number of years licensed, not age. My other friend who I was talking about taking is 25, but she's had more accidents and more tickets than I have (or that the friend who I am bringing, who is also 21). I was also liscened at 16 whereas she was 19, so she hasn't been driving that much longer than me. If we had gone, I probably would have just paid the fee for me to drive rather than have her do something stupid and us end up in a car accident. I don't let her drive when we're together; I drive. I think it should be 18+ to rent, 5 years licensed to not pay an extra fee, regardless of age. Thankfully, since we're 21, most car rental places for just an extra fee. Which seems to be $25 across the board in SoCal.

I'm sure that is frustrating on your end, but she probably doesn't want to burden people. And she probably thinks she can do it in her head but her body just doesn't want to cooperate.
