@donaldtoo , did you see the news report about a Dallas man who flew out of a waterslide in Austin--at a private home??!! That's right--it wasn't a water park in Austin, it was somebody's private home (near Lake Travis) where the home owner had this (professional looking) water slide. :jawdrop: The injured man had a broken arm, broken ribs and several lacerations from flying out of this down a rocky hill. (I'm not posting any links, but you can Google it easily if you're interested in watching this craziness.)

Nope, hadn't heard until your post.
I just watched the video...crazy...!

I went on a mini shopping spree this morning, in preparation for my WDW trip. The Chicago forecast is for 90 degree weather today, and it definitely felt like it. I need to get some sweatbands. Much better for me than a hat, that just makes me sweat more. I'm still having trouble with my feet, even after I bought the insoles that I thought would help. My trip is just 40 days away, so I'm trying to walk/move as much as possible in order to build up my stamina. Being almost 70, sure has it's problems.

Sorry to hear about your feet problems. My mother in law swears by Rykas for her foot issues.

Mrs Ferret has found Sketchers go walks the most comfortable since breaking her toe

You're such a good mom, me not so much I'm going to make the boys do the lawn no matter the weather this weekend.

I'm sitting in my DD's apartment, she has left for work. Waiting for the ATT Uverse dude to show up. Her internet connection is wonkadoodles, keeps cutting in and out. I had to shut off the WiFi on my cell as it kept just searching for the WiFi here. She works have of her hours from home so internet needs to work properly. So this Mom handed her my keys to the truck and sent her off with A/C to go to work. If I'm trapped here someone may as well use the truck with A/C right?

Good morning it's cold here! very cold by my standards. I'm going to have to put on long pants and a jacket for my morning walk. Runs and hides under large rock
:cautious: I don't want to be in pants/jacket nor do I want to be hiding from 117 heat index. We should swish our weather together and it would be just perfect. :D

Seeing it's a bit cool out we started pre trip cleaning today. The dining room including windows is done:)

I do that cleaning thing too before I leave for a trip also. About a year ago I flew to Cleveland for my nieces graduation and I just couldn't get it all done and was none to happy about it. To my surprise my DD finished it off for me so when I came back everything was the way I wanted to leave it.

Explosive cheese between other things :O
Hmmm....my cheese comes from Wisconsin. It is really cheese not those cheese substances. Even the ricotta cheese (one of several types of cheese I use for lasagna) I doctor up with garlic, salt, egg and parsley which makes the whole concoction taste that much yummier. But no, I don't use any explosives in what I am cooking. :p

I did the same thing last fall before my trip to Europe which I knew was going to consist of a lot of walking. I became a mall walker on a daily basis and thankfully, when I went everything went just fine. I am currently scaring the living daylights out of 68, so we are not that far off. I did two things to help my feet. I used "Glide" during the day on the most troublesome parts of my feet and ample medicated lotion on them at bedtime. Never really had a moment of trouble.
