Which leads to the bad mommy story. When my son was 3, I took him to a McDonalds with a playground. After running around, he came back to take a sip of his drink. All of a sudden, he starts crying, and a bee comes out of his mouth. I hadn't seen it go in the straw. Stung him right on the inside of his lower lip. It looked like he got punched in the mouth for awhile after that.
Poor baby

So, I finally got to the lab last Friday morning to have my 3 month overdue labs done for a 3 month overdue routine doctors appointment.
I'm not usually late with things relating to that, but, stuff gets lost in the mix sometimes. I had the Docs appointment this morning.
All my functions and numbers were in normal ranges, except for a few...
Blood sugar up from 106 to 108, but, glucose AC1 down from 5.8 to 5.6...kinda' a wash.
Vitamin D at a dismal 12, but, DWifeys was an 11 recently, so we both have been given prescriptions for large doses to take once a week for 3 months and have our levels tested again. I asked why this seems to be such a problem for so many these days, and she said that it's something they used to not test for so much and now are. She said you could lay out in the sun all day, every day, and not make up the difference. Plus, as we all know, skin cancer.
The biggest surprise was my cholesterol. My triglycerides have always been in order, and my good has always been better than my bad. But, my cholesterol went from 239 down to 189 since my last labs... o_O
I have no clue, but, I'll take it...!
Oh, and I lost 4 pounds...!!! :joyfull: :D ;) :)
Congrats!

I got one shirt done last night. I have to do 2 more of the same. These were not in the original plans but I did one for me and the guys decided we should all have one:rolleyes::mad::arghh::bawling: I wouldn't have minded except it a project that takes a bit of time with17 thread changes. I'm not going to post a TR so much as a fashion show:hilarious:

I was lucky enough to see Fun Home on Broadway one last time tonight. Good thing. I needed a good cry. This closes in September and I totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for outstanding theatre. And if you need a good cry, that will help too. If anyone is coming into town and is interested, I might be able to help with discounted tix.

Can't quite tell if my perception is off from that video clip, but is the stage for that show in the middle of the audience? It appears as though the theater seats are around the perimeter (or at least two sides) of the stage--unusual, yet interesting concept.

Um, is that a typo? Did you mean to say 7 thread changes? Or are you serious--seventeen thread changes?!

@figmentfan423 , here's a question that's been bugging me for the past few days. Now, we all know that cows and goats have milk. The other day in the cafeteria, I was drinking Silk vanilla soy milk for a change. A woman with a little boy at the table next to me asked me if the cafeteria also sold almond milk, as that was all her 3-year-old would drink. Told her I didn't think they carried it.

Anyway, that got me to thinking: how can soy or almond companies call their beverages "milk"? (Where's the cow or goat?! :cautious: ) Soy, and I guess almond, too, use some sort of pressed process with water to create a beverage. Yet, when I go to the grocery store, I see both of these items lined up against the real milk on the shelves. Is there some sort of mutant cow out there that produces soy or almond "milk"?!

I think you'll have to ask @Mr Ferret 88 he's our mutant expert:hilarious:
