Thats kinda weird.. Gelatin can come from anything that has cartilage, skins and bones. But to save costs.. companies use the "left overs". So yeah, pork skin, horns, cattle bones..etc..

I still wonder how expensive is to use the alternates like "Vegan Jel".
Well, jello doesn't exist here, vegan or not, so I can't make it. I have some packages my brother sent me for Christmas, but if have the class can't have gelatin, I need to find something else.

If you have been following my posts since February with all I am dealing with my Dad I am VERY aware it is no picnic for him.

Sometimes we need to be compassionate for the other caretakers. I watched all my MIL went through caring for my FIL until he passed. No it wasn't a picnic for him and he became difficult as has my Dad and being considerate to others as they have to make decisions and care for those suffering take their toll. That is often overlooked.
Gabe, stay calm. My comment was not an attempt to say you weren't aware of it personally, it was that sometimes, we all tend to not understand what the declining person is going through and focus on how their problems negatively affect us.

Hi everyone, We are back from a great trip. Don't believe the other threads saying how bad Disney is. I didn't see one trash can overflowing, the bathrooms were in better shape than I have seen them in years. The food hasn't been reduced in size. They are using more different brands at the resorts. No longer Heinz ketchup, but I liked the new brand better. Our room was nicely cleaned, and we were supplied with plenty of towels, and soaps, shampoo etc. No complaints. I didn't post as much, as we went in everyday for rope drop, left around 2 pm, to go back to the resort, took a shower and nap. Then we went out for dinner. We only made it to Universal once, as the construction on I-4 was still going on. I will post some pictures each day, so I don't overload the system. On to the first set of pictures!IMG_3576.JPG

That's the way I read your post. A little touch of humor towards the health issues you have dealt with most recently.

It's been around 82 every day. Beautiful. :)

Predicted high of 88 here today, with predicted highs in the low 90's for the next 9 days, and a chance for more rain beginning this Friday on through next Wednesday. That's beginning to be a little more of our typical weather for this time of year, except for the distinct lack of triple digit temp days, so far this year. In years past, we'd have already had several triple digit days. :cyclops:

I can't imagine anyone actually saying you should just deal with it! That's horrible! Sure it's an inconvenience, but not a HUGE one and as you are in tin box in the air, it's not like you can just go to the doctor if you have a reaction. A school is one thing...it's probably big enough to have a safe zone where kids with allergies can avoid contact. But kind of hard in an enclosed space 30,000 feet in the air.
Our grandkids school is peanut free. No exceptions. Good for those with severe allergies.

So my internship is going really well, so well that my boss took me out to lunch today. He spent about five minutes talking with me about work, and then we talked about the Orioles and Disney for the rest of lunch. :hilarious:

But the good news is that they want to bring me in as an enrollment agent, which is part-time and paid! :D
