seems like the administrators are more like power hungry than actually trying to be logical and helpful

Our Elementary Principal was nicknamed Cruella de Vil. We use to just refer to her as parents a Cruella.

She actually dressed up as Cruella one Halloween and she wore a real fur coat. I think she was sending us a message, the message we took from it was she was a dead ringer for Cruella. Too much fun that day at school.

If they were as good as they looked, he should be darn proud...! ;) :hungry: :)

Oh, speaking of @ajrwdwgirl 's barbecued ribs, I'm also having barbecued ribs tonight! I buy them in the store (Plumrose), and they're all cooked and have barbecue sauce already on them inside the package. Essentially, all you do is put them on the grill for about 10 minutes or thereabouts, and you have delicious baby back ribs!! :hungry:

Lots and lots of storms and rain. Joy Joy

Yep, having gutters cleaned out yesterday a good call.

We got pounded again last night and overnight.
An intersection on the south side of our subdivision was underwater and had to be closed. That's the first time I've seen that in the almost 40 years I've lived here.
60% chance of more storms this afternoon, but only a 20% chance tomorrow.
I was gonna' put new brake pads on all 4 wheels of DWifeys car today, but, I decided to do it tomorrow, instead.

I've never had anything like that before.
How do They compare to the kind you might get at a BBQ joint/restaurant, or those someone might smoke at home?

Wow! Once again-I will shut up, it isn't nice here and the right lanes are washed out and ponds galore but we are not Texas. I was drving about an hour or so ago and it was bad and bad timing. They are saying the same thing for us with more rain to follow these storms later-a smaller chance tomorrow of getting hammered.

Am I supposed to fill in the end of your sentence above? :p Edit: Oh, I just saw that you went back and finished your sentence. ;)

I think they're delicious and so does hubby. They're so easy to just heat up. I've never had "real" ribs like the ones you cook down South, so I can't compare them to anything. But, they sure do taste good!! :joyfull:

Sympathy like to your area and also to many parts of Texas as well. Yikes.

Yea, it's been pretty crazy down here this year.
They said on the news this morning that Lake Travis is now 118% full, even with all flood gates wide open. It was about 58.5 feet low in Nov. of '14, and was still about 44 feet low just in May of last year. Right Now.......

We have them around here and they are excellent. They are usually either in the self serve part of the deli or with prepackaged prepared meats. Ours are very good and run about $10-$14 a full slab. Vacuumed sealed.

Very tender. Around here they are better than some places that serve ribs.
I also can buy hot slabs of ribs at the special grocer Mariano's in their Tod's smoked section near my Moms.

They have whole chickens, brisket, meatloaf and ribs.

Yea, my big, fat index finger hit the wrong button on my phone...!!! :hilarious:

I'm gonna' try to find something like that around here. You can get packaged, fully-cooked briskets all over the place down here, I just don't ever remember seeing ribs. Pretty positive they're like the briskets, I just haven't been paying attention... :cyclops:

Thanks. It should start to wind down for a few hours now. Maybe Walt can have his morning walk since it was raining before he even woke up this morning.

Funny we will probably have an extended drought in July or August too. Weather never could just be moderate.

All I can tell you is that we really liked the baby back ribs (tried them last year, too, in various brands).

The only ribs we didn't like were the full-sized ribs in the precooked packages. Not sure why--but, the baby backs were a lot more tender, and again, this was from sampling a few different brands.

FYI the Flame Tree now offers a full slab of ribs for one QS credit. (wonder how long that will last, it is so share-able.)
