Speaking of liver spots... OK, not really, but, today I had to go and renew my CDL license. This is the first time in forty years that I don't have to have corrective lenses to drive. Yea, except for one thing, when I wore glasses it hid some ginormous bags under my eyes, something that I inherited from my mother, now they show up like a neon light. They should throw in a bit of cosmetic surgery with the cataract surgery.

If anyone thinks they are having a bad day... while I was waiting a young girl went out with the guy that has the enviable job of testing new drivers. They got in the car and when she pulled out she promptly runs into a parked car right across from where she was parked. I think she failed.

Thank you for sharing! it looks like a fun 3 day weekend was had by all
Yep, and those pictures were just from Monday. That was held at a "castle" here in town. I use quotes because it was a castle, but then it was destroyed and the current owner built it back, but it's not exactly how it used to be and it looks more like a palace or mansion than a castle.

I wonder if her parents gave them the advice of "If you fail, fail spectacularly" too personally.

last picture is hilarious!

its like PEASANT REVOLUTION!!! DOWN WITH THE KNIGHTS!! XD

also.. those festival sound a lot of fun!
Id love to hold a bird of prey as well.
It's so much fun. They give all the "knights" and all the kids a foam tube, make them swear not to hit anyone on the head, not to re-enact the battle at home, or at anyone ELSE'S home, and to always make their beds and do their chores and then they let them have at it and the knights pretend to be terrified of the kids and they just lie down before the kids even get to them, and then they get up and run and let the kids chase them. This time they had 2 groups because they didn't have enough "swords" for all the kids. The 2nd group was mostly LITTLE kids...like...3 and 4 year olds, some even younger. The knights wanted to do a "dance" before hand and it was mostly just grunting and stomping and it scared one little kid so bad that he dropped his sword and ran back to his mom. It was sad and funny at the same time. It was so so cute.
