Thanks, still debating if we should stay in fort laurendale or miami. We will have 2 days to visit miami.

We stayed in Ft. L and caught a shuttle to Miami. They are only 24 miles apart.

We did both, went to The Fort Lauderdale airport and to Miami. The airline schedule determined which we took.

Is that restaurant on top of a tower or a natural mountain/rock ?

We have similar restaurants here that are like that and face the sea.
For example, this popular one called LE CLIFF:

It's built on the side of a huge, long-running cliff overlooking the main body of the lake near the dam.
