Have a good night @figmentfan423. Sweet dreams to a sweet person. Our alarm goes off at 3:45 A.M. Still getting ready for getting ready to get up for rope drop. I'm so glad it's not everyday this trip. Next June will be more days out of the parks. I think my energizer bunny needs a new battery!;)
Thank you! I hope you're sleeping well and are able to make all your rope drops with no issues. Rope drop is one thing my family never seems to have a problem with. We keep early hours.:)

I'm DONE for today. I made and decorated a birthday cake, made a cheesecake, made a batch of fudge, and made another batch of lipgloss. Yesterday I made truffles and white chocolate covered preztels. Party 1 of 3 is ready for take-off!

This is her cake...well..I put her name on it, but in the interest of privacy, I airbrushed it out here. It's gaudy as heck, but she loves it.
That is beautiful. Have you considered doing it for a living?

My car is back!!!!!!!! after 3 rentals in a month plus.

1) brakes were not very good
2) air pressure - tire leak
3) thank god I only had it for a few days (it was a Dodge)

I like to thank you all for supporting me in this very difficult time while I had to wait for Honda to ship airbags. I never realized how good my car runs after 6 years after having those 3 rentals.
Best of all you're now going to Disney to celebrate. Have fun!

When we go and take the kids and grandkids it's economy for all of us. So I do wear socks the Doctor suggested, they do help, but it's getting more difficult. United is the plane for Denver, as it's their hub. But the new plane seats are terrible. Very short seat....it barely lets you sit on your butt, so no leg support at all. We have paid more for business class, and they are still terrible. I expect to be standing up in the future. I understand what they are doing, but my body doesn't. That's okay, we have had many nice trips over the years. I'll be on here to go on trips with all of you. That can be a great amount of fun! And the office chair we have is super comfy!;) Thanks for the suggestions, you are being very helpful, and I appreciate it. These tips will get me through for the next few years!:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:

Everyone's medical condition is different, but do you ever take even a baby aspirin at least 30 minutes prior to your flight? It's recommended to help avoid DVT. Along with aspirin, I've read that the best thing, especially for coach passengers (that would be me, too!), is to stay hydrated (water is the best to drink on a flight), and to get up a few times to stretch your legs.

Aside of the above, I agree with other members here who suggested extra leg room seats or business class (at least on most airlines, those two categories can make a big difference for some people--worth the extra cost).

P.S.: For my flight tomorrow morning, I bought a small bottle of baby aspirin the other day. It said cherry flavored on the package. So, I tried one and it was delicious! :hilarious:

@Gabe1 , how do you break the news to Walter that you're going on vacation and he can't go? I had the discussion with Jack the other night, and he just looked at me with that sideways, huh? look, that all dogs get when they haven't a clue what in heck you're saying! :p (Hubby tells me that whenever I'm gone, Jack paces a lot, back and forth, and acts all lost in space . . . wish I was Dr. Doolittle and could talk to the animal, so that he'd actually understand that there was no crisis!!) ;)

Thanks for the tips. I do try and get up during the flight. Didn't even think about a baby aspirin. Water is a good idea too. You are so helpful.:inlove::inlove::inlove:

I always missed my dogs when we left for vacation. I wondered how much it impacted them.

Can you not travel by car so you can get out and stretch your legs when you need to? I LOVE traveling by car. We used to go everywhere by car and we made it an amazing vacation and saw SO much of the country just by taking scenic routes rather than always being on the interstate and we made time each day to do something along the way...stop at a cave, historical site, or museum, etc. You can research the route you want to take and find things in the area of your route to do each day and you can travel as far or as little as you want. When you get tired, you stop for the day, find a hotel, and go further in the morning. I'd like to travel Route 66 sometime...I know there are parts that have changed now, but I'd still love to do it.
Hubby doesn't like to drive. He used too, but the traffic is really horrible around big cities. He likes getting there quick, and getting on the magical express. With no driving, until he gets back home.
