Hope all you moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day...!!!!! :joyfull: :)

We took DWifey out for brunch and then spent the afternoon at my folks place.

My half gone large mimosa and my open face roast beef sandwich on whole wheat with capers and creamy Dijon. :hungry:

At my folks the theme was pork. Sorry, forgot to get any pics... Pretty much the usual fare I've posted many times in the past, though. ;)
Pork loin, smoked pork ribs and sausage. Homemade pork and beans, potato salad, 3 bean salad, etc. Cake, brownies, and cookies for dessert. :hungry:
Good food, good conversation, more good times...! :)

You're very talented. I know you've developed your skills over the years, but I think that people in your profession also have some sort of inherent ability that the rest of us don't!! ;)

Thank you Minnie! Very kind of you! :)
I was artistic-ish ;) from an early age. Plus, so many other talented people at our firm. We check our egos at the door (easy for me - I don't have one in the first place:)) and work as a team for the best possible product for the client. One of the reasons our firm is so respected. :)

It was a foodfest this weekend. Jason's Del-salad bar and rueben, Longhorn Steakhouse the large ribeye, potato asparagus, sauteed onion mushroom. Kenturky Derby party with a catered Pig Roast Feast. And brunch today, Sweet Baby Ray's. The man who created the sauce still operates several restuarants in Chicagoland. Skipped the breakfast stuff and went for Meatloaf, St. Louis BBQ Ribs, Prime Rib, carved turkey, ham off bone, Salmon, Dessert Bar, Baked Beans, Corn Chowder Asparagus again, mashed potato and a wee bit of salad and ended with a cheese plate.

Weather was beautiful so Walt got many walks and I got to ride my new bike a few times. Went to see my Dad yesterday both good and bad with that then brought my Mom a flower basket and went out to dinner with her.

I miss cheese more than any other dairy product. I used to eat a grilled cheese and thin sliced tomato sandwich for lunch. It was so good. I like a lot of cheeses. Those were the days. :hungry::in pain::in pain::in pain::in pain:

When I was a kiddo, I used to eat the heck out of sliced cheddar, tomato, and mayo on white bread sandwiches...! :hungry: I still LOVE them, but, rarely eat them these days. :cyclops:

I couldn't sleep for more than three hours for years. My current Dr. prescribed , trazadone. It's a very good pill that is very cheap with little side effects. It helps me every night , and I've taken it for 6 years. I used to get up and clean the house and sweep at night. Hubby can sleep through anything. ;) It wasn't working for me. I was never alert, and had trouble during the day. He prescribed this pill, and that was such a change for me, and hubby. If staying up at night starts to cause you trouble, you may want to talk to your Dr. My dad never slept for more than 3 or 4 hours. I think those things may be passed down to family members.

I went through a stretch for about 3 years of being an insomniac. Every once in a while I will have a couple days string together where I can't sleep but the years of it seem to behind me, knock wood. I have many series of TV shows on DVD.

So, we have some friends that are about 15 years younger than us. Pretty sure I've mentioned them before, but, DWifey met the mother when she was working at the shoe store that shall not be mentioned. :cyclops:
Anyway, they already had two teenagers and then "surprise" a new bundle of joy...!!! :joyfull:
Today was her 1 year b-day at of all places... :)

It was actually very fun, and they are a great family. They're going on their second family trip to WDW in June that they asked DWifey to help them plan (they asked her to help them plan their first, too :)). Life's a hoot...!!! :joyfull:

I so would not have been amused. But thankful to the guys that step up so that doesn't happen! Not that a bundle would not have been loved but Oy college is expensive.
