I couldn't sleep for more than three hours for years. My current Dr. prescribed , trazadone. It's a very good pill that is very cheap with little side effects. It helps me every night , and I've taken it for 6 years. I used to get up and clean the house and sweep at night. Hubby can sleep through anything. ;) It wasn't working for me. I was never alert, and had trouble during the day. He prescribed this pill, and that was such a change for me, and hubby. If staying up at night starts to cause you trouble, you may want to talk to your Dr. My dad never slept for more than 3 or 4 hours. I think those things may be passed down to family members.
I've always had problems staying asleep, even as a child. When I was young, it manifested in waking every hour or so then going back to sleep. My body adjusted to this. As I've gotten older, it's progressed to being able to go to sleep then waking three or so hours later. Sometimes, I'm able to fall back to sleep around five or six for a short time. This has been going on for around ten years. Meds and alternative herbs and such don't work. The only thing that helped made me feel terrible the next day. I do much better with less sleep than with meds. I basically learned to live with less sleep. And, if I'm tired during the day, I stop what I'm doing and rest. I used to watch the shopping channels. Who knew how many things we need ;-) . Now, I watch dvd's or get on here. I used to get up and clean or iron, but I've found staying in bed and watching TV or a DVD on low, let's my body rest.
Thank goodness my son and daughter don't have any problems sleeping.
My mother only sleeps about four hours a night so maybe it is passed down.
I do sleep much better in Disney :). I think a combination of no stress, constant walking, and happiness help. So, this time next week, I should be on my way to a park well rested.

Thank you. I leave next Sunday morning on the first flight! I'm mostly excited about the new ice cream store at the Boardwalk area--I can stroll over there from the Swan! :hungry: :hungry: And, oh yeah . . . I'll go to the parks, too! :p
I'm going to try and upload a pic of my daughter. If you see us, please say, "Hello". I'm looking for one of me that's not three years old.
The brunette is my daughter. I couldn't upload a pic, so I changed my avatar.

Violetta is a Disney show. It started in Argentina and was picked up by Disney and they've had it on the Disney Channel across Europe and in most of the Spanish speaking countries and MAYBE Australia? The show ended after 3 seasons and now they just released a movie. "Tini: the New Life of Violetta" But I didn't know if they ever played the show in the U.S. so I was wondering if the movie was coming out there. It would be nice if it did, because then maybe there would be merchandise we could pick up when we get there in July. DD LOVES the show and was desperate to see the movie so we went on Friday.
aaah I see.
Weird, I didnt know anything about these series nor movie.
And I'm on a spanish speaking country.
