I have been very lucky, even though I have put my body through hell over the years between smoking and overeating I sometimes think I really don't deserve this luck. It is starting to catch up now, but, still physically, at least day to day, I'm pretty good. I just got back, as you know, from Europe where I must have walked a gazillion miles a day, I don't have any arthritis. I don't wake up in pain and still feel pretty much like I did years ago. Even the bad stuff that I have like the Prostate Cancer are still so minor that I have absolutely no way of knowing that I have it other then what they told me. I play golf once a week, sometimes two or three times. My skin is finally starting to thin. My daughter mentioned the other day that she could see all the veins in my arms popping out. Well, the skin doesn't hold them down anymore nor are they being covered with fat, but, I haven't lost much muscle mass just a lot of fat. I don't expect it to last a lot longer, but, until it does I'm going to take advantage of my good fortune.
I have very thin skin, like my dad. Sometimes I wake up with blood on my skin from scratching during the night. I put an antibiotic on that in the morning. Such is life. My face is getting a lot of "age" spots. I used to cover them up. No more, I think, if you don't like to see them, then don't look. I'm being ignored a lot these days!:p:p:p:D:eek::rolleyes:

I'm from Colorado, I can't smell any difference anymore. Now, I'm nose blind! It's party time at any event here anymore. Whoo Hoo, at least the "air" is free. Happy dance!;)
I might have told this story before, but, years ago my Grandmother was treated for Cataracts by a prescription of this powder that came in a cardboard tube, about the size of one of those Biscuit tubes. She also had these small metal aspirin tins about 1 inch square. She would pile a little mound of this powder on the tin, light it, cup it with her hands and inhale the smoke. Never gave it a thought until I walked into a party where a particular substance was being rolled and there was that smell again. I started looking around for my grandmother. I researched it and found that weed was being used as a medicine for cataracts back in the 50's and early 60's and was available at any Drug Store. Times sure have changed.

I'm glad it was approved for cataracts. My Mom had those. She wouldn't do weed. I would, if that were my problem, no reason to suffer if there is something out there to help.

The thing is I don't think anyone knew it was weed, just medicine to help the vision. I don't think it really worked very well though, but, she didn't care after enough of the powder.

So pretty. Our leaves are half out now, bushes are greening up quicker than the last 5 years. As are the weeds at record rates. :cautious:
We had 80 today, cooler tomorrow. Maybe nice for Mother's day. :)

I

I have spoken of the amazing pup in our school district that has brought mega changes to one of our students who is on the autism spectrum, transforming the student in ways nobody thought possible for one of our primary students. Here is another great story.

Presley Ware isn't just a service dog. She's officially part of Good Hope Middle School in Louisiana.

Presley's photo can be found right next to her owner's photo 14-year-old Seph Ware. Seth suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a progressive disorder that causes muscle weakness and makes everyday tasks more difficult to undertake.

Presley has accompanied Seph to class for four years.

My grandson's saw the earlier picture and asked grandpa, if he was married to a different person at the beginning. So funny, when kids tell the truth. That's nice of you to say, but sometimes I wonder where the time has gone. At least, hubby is aging with me at the same rate, so all is good. And we have so many same experience's to share. He doesn't look older to me, and he see's me in the same way. Maybe that's why people say "love is blind", in your older years it's so true. Literally!:joyfull::joyfull::inlove::inlove:

So true, I have no idea why DWifey still loves me so much, but, she does, and I still love her just as much. Sometimes it just works out, thank the Lord...!!! :joyfull: :)

Thanks , I will; my sleep times are messed up, while trying to adjust to a 2 hour change, in less than three weeks.

I tried that many years ago to preplan the time difference and it just didn't work out for me. I'm now always leaving on a few hours 2-3 at best for the airport by 245 in the morning for the first flight out. I have dibs on the window seat. I put a dvd in that I know by heart that I listen to but don't have to watch and drift a bit. We check in and hit the parks. We can feed off adrenaline till 11pm-12am. Head to room, crash and up for rope drop, again adrenaline. But that first full day we usually end at Illuminations and get a good nights sleep for up early the next day.

I never sleep well the night before we leave. So trying to thwart the time difference has never worked for me 'cause I loose too much sleep the evening-night before travel so I don't bother anymore.

I would love this for the dentist. Do I hate going there? You bet I do. His assistant is passive-aggressive. He laughs, when he hits a nerve. I've never been to this dentist assistance with out that happening. The last dentist, this never happened. Maybe I should look for another place to go.

Yep, passive-aggressive dental assistant, I would switch, too. That's just sick. And I'd file some sort of report. Some psycho-fest there...!
