My dh is a bit worried about the cuts at Disney! We usually book at least a year out but he's now saying let's see what the Disney part of our trip is like before booking 2017. He's talking about maybe staying over at UNI

Maybe use the time to visit all non disney parks?
You could even book a cruise or something.

We have APs for UNI so I know we'll be going back there, it's how much Disney and where we'll be staying that's up in the air

Wouldn't it be awesome if WDW actually decided bring back the original WDW logo from 1971 - the late 90's for its 50th Anniversary? Complete with the word 50 added in the logo? I really hope they think about this idea.

The unmagical day one was kind of funny, though. Obviously, if that was a real person and real complaint, she didn't do much research before she went. But...when have they EVER sold McDonalds fries at Disney? When we went in 2010, if there had been a place that had anything resembling McDonalds fries or chicken nuggets, we would have been all over it for DS who was 2 and wouldn't eat anything in the parks. I found the whole thing comical, because you can look up refurbishments on the website to make sure the attraction you are looking forward to will be open and you can look up menus to see where you can get what. And how did she not know about ADRs...and to be offended that people who took the time to make reservations have priority over someone who just walks in? Isn't that kind of the point of reservations? If she's really a travel agent, she's not a very good one. Don't think I'd trust her with my vacation planning. It was amusing reading though.

What a shame they're gone.. the McFries are seriously addictive.
Only the deluxe ones in the disney restaurants are kinda better.

Is the McDonald's that opened in 1998 still around? Because if I remember correctly, don't you that building after you pass the WDW entrance on the road to the Magic Kingdom? Because I remember seeing that building during my visit in 2004 and 2006 but wasn't able to see it due to our High School taking the Disney Bus Transportation which might have taken a different route.

I still think having less people at the shops is one of the most stupid things I've read.. EVER.

How do you want to get people to buy your stuff is there is a huge line because there are not enought cashiers?
If most restaurants weren't DR, You bet they would stand up and get annoyed if a server takes more than 30 minutes to get to them.

If this practice takes hold I will go out of my way to eat at non-Disney establishments on property the next time we are down there.
