Way to go. My tree is still up and might be for a few more days as I have no problem walking but stretching the wrong way wouldn't be good at all. Besides I'm still enjoying the new ornaments and the Olaf beanie baby sitting right in the middle of the tree:D I'm also enjoying my Mickey snowmen on my mantle:D

Good morning, Figgy! And Happy New Year to everyone. The house is getting back to normal. DS and DH are back from NOLA. My DD and I didn't go, because she was to have two days of dance rehearsals to learn a new dance. Didn't happen. Missed my boy marching in the first ever Sugar Bowl Parade. He came home with lots of stories, and DH came home with video. :D

Christmas trees will stay up until next weekend. They make me happy to look at. And, maybe I am the only one, but I feel like now I am ready for Christmas. (Happens every year.)

Wish I was at EPCOT today. I really could go for cheese empenadas and a view!

I'm so sorry you missed the parade in person. I could go really go for a veggie platter from TC!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we are a colorful bunch. We can track my Mom's family easier. My Dad's family is strange what can I say. I can track my Dad's father and his name change too at Ellis along with his departing port, his Mom is another story. The port of departure is a head scratcher and I'm certain it is her. She didn't share much about life before coming to the US and if we asked curiosity questions it was generally met with replies like, why are you asking? Why do you need to know this? Like I said that side of the family is odd and for the most part we've been estranged from the whole bunch since I was a teen when my Gran passed. Both my Sis and I would love to get our hands on her original immigration papers.

Except for my Living Room I tend to bring in bright bold colors. I'd do the same with the Livingroom but it would tend to clash with the permanent things, that would bug me more than my darker color theme for that room in the winter.

So has my retirement fund. It seems to drop every time there is a drop in the price of oil. On the other hand I am saving a bucket load of money at the pumps. I'm to scared to do the math and see if I come out ahead or way, way behind.

Awe sorry you didn't get to go to NOLA to see all that. What District did they stay in while in NOLA? I love love love NOLA

I wouldn't. Not like finding out would change the outcome. :D ;)

Knew it would crash when I woke up and heard China shut their market down to end the slaughter of the stocks. Hopefully it will correct back by the end of the week. :rolleyes:
