Just wanted to say Happy New Year!! The fireworks are slowing down over here, so I should be able to go to bed soon, though I enjoyed watching them. There were some spectacular ones this year. Our neighbors must have spent a FORTUNE!! We opt for just really little ones...a couple roman candles, a few fountains, some ground flowers and sparklers and that's it. The kids get to light some off if they wear safety glasses and we let everyone else do the big expensive and more dangerous varieties. I stayed inside because I'm still hacking up a lung and the cold air wouldn't have done me any favors, but between the houses on the next street over I could watch some gorgeous ones with our wall to wall windows, and then the ones behind our house I could see reflected in the windows of the houses across from us and in the windows of the apartment building behind that, so I got quite a display even though I didn't go outside! I hope you all have fantastic celebrations of your own and I wish you all a healthy and happy 2016!! (I might have to send a few of you some giant rolls of bubble wrap to accomplish the healthy part, though)
