This is how we're telling the kids how long we'll be at Disney. They think we're going for 5 days, staying in All-Star Music resort. We have 14 day tickets, with water parks fun and more and park hopper, and we're staying 10 days in the Caribbean Beach Resort. Hubby made an Advent calendar and behind each day is a picture related to the trip..one from each park, one from both of the water parks, and a couple of the resort. Then on the back of each window are letters that spell out "14 days Disney and 10 days Resort" which they won't be able to piece all together until they've opened all the windows. The last window will be opened on Christmas. View attachment 123911 View attachment 123912

I'm small too, and I get run over at the airport and Disney, every trip. I've had so many shoulder injuries at Disney , from people slamming me I can't count. Why do people ignore small people? Do we not count? Or is it the age. Forge ahead, the heck with the rest of the world. I can't believe this only happens to me.....

I think there are rude people everywhere however those of us are vertically challenged really are onguard for those taking aim.

One of the worst things at Disney for me is taller with big backpacks. When they turn I get knocked upside the head with the backpack. Have had glasses knocked off my face. People tend to forget how wide they are back there with these backpacks they seem to be stuffed with more for the parks than my carry on luggage for the week.

Interesting sidebar-Many of the Chinese Students at my DD University (and there are many from China) wear their backpacks across their chest vs their back.

Our department puts out stockings for the holidays and I just discovered a cute little gingerbread cookie in mine. Yummy!

I remember when I was in Kindergarten, our class would create our own Gingerbread cookies and wait until there finished. They we hear that our cookies ran away from our baking ovens and all across our school. We had to search the cookie crumbs to find them. I remember getting a little freak out at the time. But my teacher recovered my cookie which she said she had to poke the eyes to make it stop causing mischief.

I really liked Prime Time, but this time was packed completely. Going to go to Mama Melrose's for the fantasmic package myself.

also, my mom and I loved the Boatwright.
so thats where we are "truly" dinning (since Mama melrose package thing is at 2pm)
We did Mama Melrose before going to fantasmic and thought that it was pretty good....

My husband and I always speak English together, and I mostly speak English with the kids, so when we go into a store, the cashiers always hear us speaking English and some of them aren't proficient in English so they kind of panic at the thought of having to speak English to us...and then we switch to Dutch and you can just see the confusion and then RELIEF wash over their faces. It's amusing.

How long have you lived over there? Do the kids have dual citizenship?

Fabulous idea! And I see your DD is also a fan of Monster High. My daughter loves watching it.

I'm getting my bucket list together. So far I have pick a pearl, get a glass slipper, River of Light, night safari and eat at T-Rex, Sanna, Whispering canyon and Morrimoto's (not sure if we want to do an ADR or qs)

And ya learn something everyday. Didn't know Morrimoto's had a QS. Do they have a place to sit too?

Yak & Yeti has a QS too. I like it but find the food offerings nothing like the TS versions.

Isn't Mama's one of the restaurants rumored to get flattened for the Studio expansion/do-over? Or am I thinking of the wrong restaurant?
It's in the Muppet Courtyard, so I'm thinking yes.

No huge loss. It's been hit or miss in my experience. I was glad because I went to make a reservation for my brother and me in DHS when my parents are at Yachtsman, and I could only get Mama Melrose's, so I took it, but kept trying for SciFi, and finally got SciFi, which has been consistently a hit recently (plus it's a good spot to take my brother because we don't really have to talk to each other...). Now I'm trying to get in earlier so that we can catch the fireworks (although we still might be able to get out right when fireworks start at this point).

But that doesn't make sense to me, really because I'm a normal every day person and apple is not user friendly for me. I have a really hard time using apple products.

After my DD had issues with two expensive laptops she went to an Apple Notebook her last year of college. She picked it up pretty quickly and swears she isn't going back.

Though neither my father or mother is owning it their one year old desktop was just flashing blue....someone upgraded and must have interrupted upgrade to 10. My DD tried to fix it multiple times however wasn't working and 'they' kept trying to help. When I was there last week I unplugged the puppy and took it.

DD worked on it all last night and has finally restored it back to 7. Then she locked down the icons so my Dad can't delete them. His thought if he doesn't use them there is no need for them. And then she found deeply hidden the not recommended do not notify me of upgrades to 10. So hopefully the 80 something folks can stop mess'n up the computer. Hopefully when Sis comes to town tomorrow she will take my Mom out and pick out a new cell phone and an iPad. My Dad has a nice iPad that he loves. Computers, tablets etc are like tubes of toothpaste, should not be shared.
