The Nightwatch was like that for me. I was expecting your standard wall hanging sized thing and it was HUGE....and the thing is that apparently it was cropped because when it was painted, it was too big to fit the place for which it was commissioned or something, so they cut some of the edges off so it would fit.

Yep, that one surprised me too. Even after cropping, still about 14'x12'...and on canvas...!

So I had weird memories of visiting Storybook Land located close near Atlantic City when I was very little. I remember it was mostly based on Mother Goose and other fairy tale stories. I remember the Snow White area the most since it featured The Seven Dwarfs with one of the worst looking animatronics I've ever seen!

Here's a video of the area.

Here's what the cottage looks like.

They also have a train ride where you see creepy unlicensed figures of Donald Duck and Mickey Wolf?

You guys probably never heard of it since it's in New Jersey and was also opened the same year Disneyland open in 1995. Dutch Wonderland located in Pennsylvania looked much better than this.

I remember the giant Moby Dick figure scared the heck out of me when I was little. Mainly since if you walk into the mouth, it starts making an evil laugh similar to Ursula!

They even have a giant Pinocchio carving and a Alice And Wonderland attraction.

Speaking of Alice, they have an annual Spring activity where guests have tea party with Alice and the other characters. This version of the White Rabbit is going to give me nightmares!
