I recently found a bunch of childhood photos, which included my 7th birthday at Disneyland! Here are some of them (circa 1976).

I believe this was a Bicentennial parade? Note the real grass back then!

My DD and I were in Starbucks today, the tables are really really close and we overheard two young guys discussing their new found intellect from their University thrust upon them by a professor. It was hilarious. My DD a math and statistics major had issues with many of her professors especially in her Education Classes injecting their unsubstantiated opinions into instruction on a regular basis as if what they were spewing was vetted fact. Top researchers are often discounted when their findings are later found as false but some students she found just were that gullible.

By the college sweatshirts they were wearing these students were not attending one of Illinois best State Universities, one where 95% of students apply are accepted and take students from the 25 percentile. The type of University that isn't grabbing the best professors to start with. As we listened to them gush over what carp the professor had lead them to believe as gospel (cause a professor said so) gave us pause between smirking how malleable some college co-eds are.

I said to my DD you pray at some point they mature, grow up and learn to think things through themselves. Finals are this week and next here, Lord help their holiday celebrations as they share their new found wisdom with others. lol.

And plus, although you can't see it, we're like the last people in the restaurant for about the 500,000th time.

Yeah, I'm basically a five year old child in an adult body.

I do not have any photos of Pleasure Island. We only went when we didn't have kids on a trip which was few and far between. I wasn't leaving my kids with strangers let alone with a baby sitter on a family vacation, still surprised I have none! I do have a boatload of photos though of the now defunct Discovery Island. It was always a free admission on our multi-day
