SHHHH Don't say anything but my boys are getting the PS4 for Christmas and we've already preordered the R&C game. OMG they are getting wayyyyyy tooooooooo much stuff this year! The only reason they're getting it is my dh got a really good deal, better than black Friday. Next year they'll have Disney memories and hopefully KH3 will be out by then
can you adopt me as well? :hilarious:

forgot to mention.. remember there is a Ratchet and Clank movie coming soon!

I really appreciate your comments, Gabe. I think the obligation to do things with family simply because you are related to these people is ridiculous. I think people should spend time together because they want to...not because they feel they have to. And some of us find our families, instead of being born into them. I never spend holidays with my extended family. I want to actually enjoy the holiday and not be stressed out. That's my family dynamic. I know it's different for others. Everyone should just do what works for them.

I think twenty somethings are adults who get to make their own decisions on how they spend their time. If they don't want to be at a family dinner, I can understand that. They need time to spend with their friends too. And I think some parents have a tendency to accept invitations on behalf of their adult children and that's just not fair.
Good post. I agree.

All Dressed have been here for my whole lifetime. I don't know if they are the most popular. It seems to me that regular and salt and vinegar would be more popular in my part of the country. But they might be the most poplar Ruffles flavours. Ruffles aren't that popular here because we have our own chip companies. I love All Dressed.

I might have to go back to the store and try them.

Congrats and have fun! Do you drive to WDW and if you do how long does it take. It looks like we might just have a free day to do something not related to Disney or UNI on our trip next summer. That will depend on how much time we spend over at UNI.
We never ever drive to WDW, but if we did, it would take around four hours. We usually fly and it's only around 30 minutes.

I just want to say how crazy the prices are for the Star Wars fireworks dessert party.

The price to attend is $69.00 for adults and $39.00 for children ages 3 to 9, and advance payment is required. Guests must have their own separate admission to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I was thinking about doing the dessert party on the last night of March 19, but now I'm thinking it won't be worth it. The Chewbaca stein isn't that much of a draw as I'm not a big Star Wars fan, I would end up giving it to hubby. And we can buy it on its own at Disneyland later this month.

Day 11 of the Adventure.... October 30, Friday.. Back to Rome...

OK, folks this will be short mostly because it is a return trip to Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica. As you recall, we didn't get to see the inside of the Basilica due to the time of day and the length of the line, so we headed out early and hit the Subway (after rush hour) to see it. We got there to what seemed like an exceptionally long line, but, as it turned out the line moved quickly and before we knew it we were inside. Once again, the scope of the place cannot be truly seen via camera shots. That is the miracle of proportion. Anyway, I will try and post a few pictures just so those that haven't ever seen the interior can get, at least, an idea what it is like in there.

After leaving St. Peter's we jumped back on the Subway and proceeded to the stop that would eventually get us to the Trevi Fountain. As timing would have it the Fountain is closed while it undergoes an extensive restoration effort, but, it was still there. You could throw a coin in the water-less fountain if you wished, and many did, however, you risked hitting a worker/artisan in the head with it and I'm not sure that it has the same power to bring you back to Rome as the original way. This is how it should look...

Along that same area is the Pantheon and numerous other less familiar attractions. We found this small church that just blended into and connected with other buildings that had ceiling fresco's that were amazing. The paintings were done in a manner of faux 3D with arms and legs protruding beyond the framework that it seemed to be encased in. It was too dark to capture with my phone camera and I was sure that I took a picture of the Pantheon, but, it does not appear to be in my files. Who knows. Tomorrow we head for the port and sail away for a few days. Still stuff to see though. Stay tuned.

I bought a copy of It's A Wonderful Life and had a not fun time finding it in black and white. i refuse to watch it colorized now. I watched it once that way and it felt like a different movie
That's probably one of my least favorite holiday movies. And all the Home Alones except the last one, Holiday Heist. One of my favorite oldies is White Christmas.
