Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Hubby had a big night on the town, grocery shopping, Applebee's, and the new James Bond movie (it was pretty good). Even though we had fun I still wish it was the night we had a week ago.....we were at the Osborne lights. :(

I can only imagine how somber some will be on the final night of Osborne lights.

Happy farm market Saturday. It's a bit sad knowing today will be the last day for the farm market until next spring. It's also small business Saturday for me, mani day, health food store and picking up of the birds and best of all I my dh has to pick up his gift to me:D the place is around the corner from the health food store. I sort of know what I'm getting but I'm not sure about the exact model. He had the owner of the store wrap it in plain brown paper for pick up.:cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious: He had me try out a few different models and then had me go to the health food store while he left a deposit on what he picked out. To be honest I'd be very happy with anything I could sew a straight line with about now LOL I hope all of you have a great weekend.

Actually, studded tires are legal in Mass from November until the end of April, similar to here. (We aren't that far away.)

I suspect it will be illegal not to switch to winter tires here soon. In the next province over, all cars must have snow tires from December 15 to March 15. They have found that change in law has decreased the number of weather-related accidents significantly. So, it's being discussed here.

Wow! I learn something new here every day. I was under the impression (as were others I know) that MA had actually outlawed the studded tires, due to the road damage. But you're correct; I just looked at the Commonwealth's web site, and they are allowed during those months. In the future, if I need to know any more facts about MA, I'm going to ask my pal from Canada!! :joyfull:

(Oh, by the way, we actually beat your snowfall last year. I think the final amount, recorded in March, for last winter was just over 108 inches, versus your average of 80. They do the measurements out at Boston Logan Airport, which is by the ocean; so there were other places, inland MA, that actually received more. But last winter was one for the record books. We always have snow, but nothing like last winter's amount. Lived here all my life and never seen anything like it! :p )
