I guess I didn't know there was another Disney forum. But that's really cool! I went to London last year to see all the Harry Potter sites and I went with people I "met" on a fan forum. We had a very international group! One from Australia, one from England, one who is originally from England but now lives in Ireland, and me...an "American" who lives in the Netherlands. You'd never have known we had never met before that trip. And my friend in Kissimmee, with whom we stayed last time we went to Disney, was also from the same Harry Potter fan forum. So I just wondered if that was kind of a normal practice on all forums or if that was because we were such a SMALL forum. And I've met several people now from the Twilight fan forum as well....my weekend at the beginning of October was people from that forum, but we are all on one small thread, much like this thread. It's almost always the same group of people who post in that thread, so you kind of get to know each other. I like that.

There are several Disney forums, and I think most of them are smaller, relatively speaking, so maybe people on those sites meet each other more often than here?

Hey, do any of you know each other outside of this forum? Have any of you met? Or are you friends on other forums or on social media? I have friends on various forums and eventually all of us found our ways to other mediums and I was curious if that was the case here or not. I'm guessing there are rules about posting personal information.
I've pretty much shared a lot. Sometimes, not wisely...as hubby says. We all have our personal thoughts on sharing. I would love to see faces behind the voices. I've posted my pictures to Disney along with the DD and grandsons, hubby doesn't want his picture posted. I respect that. I've always been pretty open about my life. I guess I grew up before the internet, and have a lot to learn about personal safety. I should have known better, but I'm learning that not everyone looking at this sight is benevolent . @Songbird76

Hubby and I buy bison for ground meat, for meatloaf, etc. He said the free range and processing was cleaner. (Back when he was a teen, he worked for a short time at a major Colorado beef company and wasn't pleased with what he saw.) He'll eat ground beef on rare occasions now, but always goes for bison first if he can buy it.
Yes, we have a pretty dirty food supply. I'm not fond of the beef, it just tastes awful. I loved beef in Kansas City. I don't know what they feed the cattle but it tastes "off" to me.

I think Kohl's usually has stuff marked down quite a bit throughout the year - at least my mom always seems to find super cheap stuff there.
I did too, but not as much anymore. I saw a vest I liked today, cotton and acrylic....it was 79.00 too rich for my blood. I'm a cheapie at heart. And I really like the quality and price of Duluth Trading Company. Very nice material. Probably out of date, but so am I!;):D

Today I saw Aladdin on Broadway. It was by far the most spectacular play I've ever seen. Everything was perfect: the songs, the acting, the effects, the costumes, THE GENIE. The Genie is amazing in every way. Not to mention that Jonathan Freeman himself plays the role of Jafar! I also briefly visited the Disney store in Times Square but didn't get anything.

In addition I visited Nintendo World and got some cool Splatoon stuff. I may go to one more place tonight, but we probably won't have time until tomorrow.

Awesome!

My school went last year. Unfortunately, I didn't know about it until the day they went. That information was lost on the deep black hole known as the student portal where no information ever returns.

A couple of us are on a second, less busy, forum. I haven't been there in a while; I have enough trouble keeping up here. I know other members have done meet ups and such. I have never done so. You shouldn't post too much personal information, but if you want to connect with a member outside of the forum, you can message them and share info. That's private. :)

reinfoced block and concrete block. I'm fine in the wind department. The floods is the issue.

You may have already answered but I just wanted to say that I hope you weathered the storm alright. I am so sick of watching on the news as they interview Canadian/American tourists who were there and have since left. I want to hear from the actual people who live there and know how their lives have been affected.

Happy Friday and it looks like I may not get back on today either. My friends and I are going for our mani time today. I now realize one of the things I don't like about fall is no more Minnie pink or Figment purple on my nails for a while. I'm going with bordeaux seeing it's not on my diet it might as well be on my nails. I'm also going to the Friday farm market as the picking will be slim at both of the ones I go to I may need to go to both until they close.

I hope you had a good weekend. The mani day sounds fun.

Rick Bayless is quite known for his authentic Mexican cuisine. He has multiple restaurant, cookbooks, Food products, and a show on TV. His food is really good. It would be interesting if you ever eat at his restaurant to hear your perspective on how authentic it is.

I had never heard of him either. Does sound like a great addition to DS though. I will likely try it as I love Mexican food.
