So let me tell you how my morning went. I woke up and wasn't feeling well. I started walking to my bathroom, got lightheaded and fell catching my the bottom side of my chin on a table corner. :bawling: I snapped awake with hands covered in blood and my daughter calling my mom. Long gross story short, I didn't need stitches but my chin was covered in scab powder, butterflied and bandaged. :( I'm supposed to talk as little as possible, no kissing :joyfull: and no solid food and use a straw for three days. :grumpy: I'm really craving a burger and my tomato soup with soggy crackers isn't cutting it.
Oh wow, I wish I could DISLIKE this about 50 times!! Does the doctor know what caused you to be lightheaded? I really hope you are feeling better, but please do what the doctor tells you so you get better fast!

I dunno....I don't really care whether the president is good-looking...I just want him to be competent and compassionate and a good leader for the people. Good-looking is a bonus, but I'll settle for someone who won't screw up the country with greed and idiocy.

This makes me think of the movie The American President and the part about if there'd been a TV in every household no one would vote for a man in a wheelchair.

Okay, I have to admit I had my first serving of kale today with my other veggies. Not a fan, yet. It seems so much better raw. Will keep eating it, that's the way Brussels Sprouts started for me. Now they are one of my favorites!
The Dutch boil kale and then puree it into mashed potatoes and eat it with Jus (kind of like the french dip type jus). I am not a fan, but it's very popular here. You could use gravy instead of jus if you wanted.

My daughter was the same way. Me, I can handle my own blood and stuff. On someone else, I panic. It's the worst.
I handle it better when it's not MY child. When a friend was visiting and her son hit his head and it was bleeding, she was freaking out and I was able to be calm and check him out, etc. When the same friend was visiting and my daughter (then 3) for some reason locked the bathroom door (she wasn't allowed to lock it) and couldn't get it UNLOCKED, I freaked out and my friend had to handle it. No blood, but just the emergency thing. We took the handle and lock off the bathroom door for a couple of years so she couldn't pull a repeat. I don't worry about my own blood or anything, but I can't handle my kids' well at all. I've been very blessed that my neighbor across the street is an EMT, so if there was ever a problem, I knew I could go knock on her door, but she's moving next week. :(
