@MinnieM123 and
@MR FERRET I know both of you don't make lots of ADRs so where do you end up eating? How has the no ADR thing worked out? THNX
Haven't had a TS meal in WDW in many years. I usually manage to scrape together the money to go to WDW once a year; but I far prefer to use what money I have, for things like water parks add-ons to my parks' Hopper ticket, and maybe a facial, at one of the spas.
So for meals, I only use QS, or the Picabu cafeteria at the Dolphin. I budget about $55-$60 a day for everything--breakfast, lunch, dinner, and including treats like ice cream and any drinks (coffee, water, milk, etc.) But--I also bring things in my suitcase, like packages of peanut butter crackers, nuts, cookies, instant oatmeal (I use the hot water feature in the coffee maker in the hotel room), and Cup of Soup. There's also coffee & tea provided in the guest rooms at the hotel. I fully realize my meals method would bore the heck out of the foodies, but my goal has always been to just enjoy the parks, and also stay in a nice, moderately priced hotel on property, in an excellent location. Those are my only priorities.
Having stated the above, if I did have more money, I'd definitely go to TS restaurants (I'd love to try that new Morimoto Asia); or, I'd just go every other year, and spend more on dinners, etc. But for now, I'm just enjoying being a "kid" in the parks, and food really takes a back seat to me. Good luck with your ADRs though; I'm sure you'll pick some good locations for your family.
