Thank you all so very much for all the well-wishes, pixie dust, blessings, and prayers for my pop and all of my family, gang. It means more to me than y'all will ever know.
On a lighter note, both pop and mom were in very good spirits when we visited tonight. A lot of jokes and laughing, and when Father Izzy from our parish showed up, it got even more fun. He's a very casual and fun guy, along with taking his calling very seriously. We talked about the Popes visit, and how nice it was.
He did an anointing of the sick, we all prayed the Our Father, the Hail Mary, etc.. Really kind if a mini mass. It was very comforting.
We all talked and laughed some more, and then they ran our "party" (at one point there were a dozen family and one friend in the room...!) out, 'cause they wanted to take him down for some x-rays and then give him, as the one nurse put it, a "fancy bath"...!!! :joyfull:

Anyway gang, thank you all so very much, again.
Continue to keep him in your prayers, please...

We've spent some Christmases at WDW and a few in the Caribbean and it was beautiful and fun but odd not being home. Granted it's only me and my daughter during the holidays, it still was weird not waking up in my own bed Christmas morning.

I loved waking up in the World for Christmas and New Years. I always had all meals well planned out to be special. Usually when the kids were young Chef Mickey's for Dinner Christmas Eve, Ohana for Christmas Breakfast and Hoop for Christmas Dinner first seating. One year we had a homesick little pumpkin. She was 4 and just wanted to get back home, we were going to be there for 10 days total, my folks went home and we extended another 6 days. Tortured that little Gal with WDW. We still laugh about that.

We had a few special presents sent to the resort but when my folks got home each child had a Christmas Tree in their room that Santa had set up with all their presents under their own trees. So in the second week of January there was Christmas. That was also the first year my Princess made it to midnight to see the new year brought in thanks solely to her Big Brother being sweet, compassionate and convincing her to stay awake. Parents, well we were striking out.

Thank you so much Gabe, and thank you for your reassuring post earlier. It was very comforting and helped a great deal.
My wonderful and amazing mom and pop are just so treasured by us all.

Can't thank you enough for the continued prayers.

Need to call it a night, as we're heading to the hospital to visit again before they start the procedure.

The sweetest of dreams to all of y'all, and thanks so much again to everyone here for all the well wishes...!

SIL likes home holidays. I would go out in a heartbeat, if I could talk everyone into it. One thing we do though, is have Jammie day for Christmas and Thanksgiving. Much more relaxed, and with my elastic sleep pants, I can eat more.!;)

That sounds nice too. It started many years ago, I was Prego with my first, my Mom was still teaching and my Sis wasn't coming home from Ohio that year for Thanksgiving. We went to a very upscale Italian restaurant and had the best time, same family bonding but no prep, shopping or clean up. We've since moved onto fine steak houses. We still go back to my folks house for dessert and family time for both holidays, actually Easter too. For years it was just Thanksgiving since my Mom and I both worked the day before. It was hard to pull all that off. Evenutally the other holidays just melted into the same pattern.

We do Christmas morning in Christmas Jammies. My kids when young would receive new Christmas Jammies they'd put on Christmas Eve at my Folks so they'd wake up Crisp and new for morning picture time. Boxing Day was a jammie day around here, we were all off work and so worn from bouncing all over the place from Christmas Eve to Christmas night. But I find elastic to be the devil taunting me. I own two pairs of sweatpants (usually saved for snowy days) and that is it for elastic waists. I generally watch my portion sizes over the foods I eat. My jeans or shorts start to get tight I tend to watch what I put in my mouth for a week or two. I did a stint of elastic pants when those big, long sweaters were the thing. You really don't notice the slight gains. So I deemed them the devils wardrobe and omitted them from my choices. :devilish: :cyclops: :joyfull:

Am I the only person who always wondered what the characters would do when the Walt Disney World resort is closed every night? I always think is Mickey still running a nightclub from "The House Of Mouse" but since the show is no longer airs on Television. Mickey decided to make the club private for Disney characters only and Pixar characters are now invited. I bet Mickey is now showing the new Mickey Mouse shorts that began in 2013 and before the club closes. Mickey and his friends would discuss about future plans for Walt Disney World and the Disney Parks around the world.

Who else thought of a similar idea besides me?

Mine too, I had 4 years and I don't remember much of anything.

I can barely get the jest of a conversation these days. I use to have to call Montreal many times a day and I stopped even trying (and they were no help) I'd just answer their French greeting in English and they'd flip to English. Sadly I had 7 years of French and have let those skills dwindle to kinda sorta understanding.

Me I didn't need my imagination. Those first years of WDW and especially when Epcot opened I was so freak'n gulliable to the facts that the Monorail Pilots and Bus Drivers shared with us. Mind you the facts were not as plentiful in the early days of Epcot and the MK on the internet so I can see how I was con'd. I remember my first bus ride to Epcot, intently listening to the bus driver speak to the WS. Yes, I honestly believed that the International students lived in those rooms above their own countries. I didn't need an imagination the Transportation CMs had that covered for me.

Are you referring to the lovely fashion similar to these? :D

Just got off the phone with my neighbor, and it gets better. He kept asking her well which tree is it, and she kept telling him it is next door. The way she described it, he literally was standing with his back to the tree we want down, and couldn't figure out why we told him ash tree, when he was looking at a maple. He got very frustrated with her, started banging his clipboard, and finally left. I think he is now out of the running.
I think that one is worth a call to the BBB and local licenseing

Hee, hee . . we have exactly one loaf of bread in the freezer! Because hubby knows I'm not big on stocking up on anything, he knows there's always plenty of empty space in the freezer. One time he ran out of space in his workroom in the basement, so he threw a pan of nails in the freezer, because there was no place else downstairs for him to put them! :hilarious: (He has since rearranged his work area and found a spot downstairs for them.)
Not only do I have a few cooked items in my freezer at all times today I'm running out for kerosene and propane. After seeing the weather for the next week I'm not taking any chances!!!!!!!! One word Sandy.
