Does anyone have a better version of this of Mickey watching the construction of Walt Disney World? I loved the version that was in black and white and was bigger. Let me know if you found a better version of this image? I remember seeing this on MartinVids website as the background for his site. PM me if you found the better version of this photo.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Today, I still need to find someone who really will come and give me an estimate to get a dead tree removed. And, I am missing the premier of the new Muppet Show, but for good reason. Tonight is the first concert, and the premier of this season's Wind Symphony at the high school! Hope everyone has a good one!

We had that issue, we took out two three story Christmas Trees that were at least 75-100 years old. Then took out a major branch of the Lotus. I believe all of them and stump was $1100. They came ontime for estimate, day late for removal because of rain. Try

We have squirrels always getting into our bird feeder. It's funny to see them hanging upside down to get the seeds.

At my DD University a 100 years ago in the middle of nowhere there was not squirrels. The President of the University way back then missed squirrels so he contracted the purchase of human friendly squirrels and had masses of them placed around the campus. The University is known for their squirrel population and they are still beyond friendly. Eating outside, they will sit down on the bench besides you. I had one follow me into the newly renovated English Building where the Starbucks type kiosk was. When I was leaving I hit the handicapped door button so he could follow me back outside again.

Yes, I'll let you know about it. We haven't been there for years. I'm wondering about the condition inside.

It's been a number of years for me, too, since my last stay at the Hilton DTD. I've stayed there twice years ago, and it was a very nice hotel, and just a walk across the street to Disney Springs (I still have difficulty calling it that now!). I'm a fan of the Hilton hotels. Now, just to make my life easier getting around, (I refuse to rent/drive a car down there anymore) I stay on property.

Just one little tip--always pull your hotel door room tightly shut (this goes for everyone, no matter where they are staying), and use the throw bolt lock. Sometimes with the heavy guest room doors, people think their door is fully closed because they hear a thud once the door hits the frame. But it's important to pull IN the door to you. I'm only bringing this up because a guest didn't realize his door wasn't fully shut, and housekeeping walked in and scared the heck out of him! They did knock first, but he was in the shower and didn't hear the knock!

Also, avoid any flyers that get slipped under your door--especially for the pizza delivery places; many of them don't even exist, and they ask people to order pizza with their credit card number over the phone (no pizza delivered, and your card information has just been stolen). If you ever want to order in a pizza, ask the hotel's guest services' desk for a legitimate reference.

I still call Hollywood Studios "MGM". Sometimes I call Downtown Disney "The Village".

It's like saying directions, we don't go by streets, we go by what used to be there.

Amen, brother. We started with MGM and we stay with MGM and the earful tower, while we're at it. Downtown Disney is really a Disney area that is "downtown"--it's not "springs" it's DTD !!! (I will accept "The Village" however; that has a nice home grown vibe to it.) :)

Doubt we'll see that here. I saw a low of $2.22 at one station today, but this is a large metropolitan area, so the owners of the station are paying higher taxes, etc., which of course gets passed down to us.

Where I work gas is $2.45 (well the only gas station I go by right after the bridge). I don't understand how it's so much more expensive. The "city" is only 25,000 people. Probably because of the tourists.

Muppet's time!

Pie crust is actually pretty easy to make, just takes more time, and I want my apple pie ASAP! :)

Pie crust making is a killer to me. It's really hard to make from scratch. I've chilled the dough and even that doesn't help much. I put in enough water to just hold together the dough, but it still falls apart before I can roll it out very much. If it add too much water, the cooked consistency is weird and not flaky. Some people just always make great pie crusts (apparently you're one of them), but I've failed. :(
