I hate it at restaurants when they brush the crumbs off the table. It is usually in front of me where all the crumbs are! So if we are somewhere nice where that might happen I try to beat them too it before they can see my crumbs, or I push them toward my husband's side of the table!
I make a horrible mess, too, but mostly it was just...we didn't know the ettiquette. It was so fancy and we are not fancy people at all. We clean up nice, but we're not the kind who are used to different forks and such....it was just awkward.

Interesting how many people prefer breakfasts over there in the states.
Me, I was not impressed by breakfasts at WDW.. so few options. Its almost always the same (potato, sausage, eggs and waffles/pancakes with bacon)
I suppose I'm too used to the Mexican way (where we have tons of breakfast options)
Maybe it's what you consider to be "a lot of options." Over here, breakfast is sandwiches. That's it. So "lots of options" would be a couple types of bread and some meats, cheeses, and spreads. To me, that's very limited because I don't want a sandwich for breakfast and I don't like cheese (unless it's melted) or spreads, etc. I'm going to find very little to eat if that's what's on the buffet. To me, eggs, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, pastries....all the things on the buffet menus I've seen, sounds GREAT. I can find TONS to eat and it will be hard to choose because I won't be able to eat everything. If you don't like eggs, you eat pancakes. You don't like pancakes, you eat pastries. You don't want that, there's fruit. But if what you're used to is a sandwich for breakfast and you want to be able to have wheat bread with ham and cheese and you also want a hard roll with some sort of spread, and a roll with jam, a buffet where all they have is eggs and pancakes and waffles, etc is going to seem limited to you.

He's actually not home quite yet. I spoke to my grandmother today, and she said he's doing excellent, but they need to keep him for a few more days in the hospital, then he'll be transferred to a rehab facility for a week or so, possibly longer. She said he can stand, but his blood pressure dropped when he did, so they're keeping him until that no longer happens. He's quite a character. My grandmother found him doing leg lifts and she said, "Doesn't that hurt?" and he said, "Yeah, a little" and continued doing them. But he's doing well. Thank you for asking. :)

I don't even know your grandfather, but from everything you've shared about him, I think he's awesome! PT can be tough, and it takes a tough person to get through it. Your grandfather has a very positive spirit, and he will be just fine.

Awe, sorry to hear that. Hope she isn't in too much pain. :( Bad week for our parents/grandparents.

My Mom will leave on Thursday to fly to Ohio and then off for a 7 hour drive with my Sis to NY to see my niece that just started college and is already on injury reserve for her Field Hockey team, pulled a Hammy. That leaves me to keep an eye on my ladder climbing 87 year old father who is over an hour away. Joy Joy. :banghead:

Hide the ladder . . .

I use to lay on top of our porch roof top for a suntan too. Because of course if you are 12 feet closer to the sun it works better.
Very different, we were young, limber, tree clim'en kids. I was also a gymnast.

Hee, hee . . . this reminds me a little of something somewhat related regarding tanning. Years ago I went through a short (thank goodness) phase of going to those tanning bed places. One time I noticed that one of the lights was out in the bed, but figured the others would sort of balance out the overall tan. Wrong! When I looked in the mirror afterwards, I have this long white line of no tan that really contrasted with the rest of me tanned! HA! :jawdrop:
