I meant the marriage reply as a joke. I just saw a humorous skit in my head when I read Jennifer ' description. I actually have a lot of respect for marriage and those in it. I just like to joke. Probably has something to do with my profession. This is exactly why I'm happy when we get along here - I get enough of the above at home these days.
I'm sorry. I hear that hurts big time. But the bright side is it isn't cold yet.So guess who broke their toe and hasn't been able to wear shoes for a few days?

So this post didn't work so I'm just going to tap dance to distract you guys.
Yes. I was trying to cue @Goofyernmost to your post about not wearing pants but it wouldn't let me. Maybe it was divine intervention. You rang?
Ditto!Oh, I know. Marriage is great if you are married to the right person. I never knew how much work it requires, but if you're with the wrong person, then all the effort in the world just goes down the tubes.
Yup learned from my dad.Ooh, fancy footwork there seahawk!
Pfft... Miami's weather rarely ever drops below 80! And it's incredibly humid!...
I must admit I'm grateful for the humidity or else my lips would be cracked all over the place.
Thanks, Minnie!
We love the ferry, too!
Unfortunately, sometimes, depending on the time of year and day of the week, the wait for the ferry, to or from the island, can be outrageously long.
On the way down a coupla' weeks ago, my folks actually (on a Saturday) detoured south through Corpus Christi because the wait for the ferry was 2 hours (there are electronic signs on the highways, or you can pull it up on your phone).
For us (DS and myself on Wednesday mid-day) the wait was only about 15 min.
When we were leaving Saturday mid-day, we pretty much got right on, but, for those waiting to get on the island from the ferry it was another 2 hr. wait.
Anyway, the ferry is definitely a fun part of the trip (except for that DME-ish feeling you get when leaving the island for the trip home ).
We get out of the car and smell the fresh, salty sea air. Ahhhhh...
Although we didn't see any this trip, many times there are porpoise swimming and jumping alongside the ferries.
This is gonna' be a really horrible pic 'cause I took it with my iPhone and zoomed, but, here's a shot from a few years ago of a porpoise jumping in front of a ship on the ship channel side of town...
