Oh, how I wish I had that dilemma right now. Remember, I'm trying to figure out how to get back into the countdown.

Did the boys have another idea? Or do you have to come up with more suggestions?

They just said they didn't want it on the list no other help of any use. One said H&V because it's all you can eat and the other said HBD looked cool, but couldn't find anything on the menu he was sure would be safe for him to eat Not to mention the prices for kids who swallow food whole, total waste of money.

Yet many chose to show their outrage about the lion rather than the more horrific violence that happens around the world, including the U.S. And I saw the same pattern on all social media. And the media itself.

Maybe if people showed outrage towards human on human violence like we do for a lion I wouldn't have called it a numbness.

There are many recent cases and atrocities to choose from. But people in this country chose to get outraged over a lion over the rest. So that's my beef.

I hear that. I think we should be outraged over all the violence especially to humans. I know that I feel powerless in what I can do to stop it. I try and understand why which has led me to begin studying different psychological and socioeconomical conditions so that I can make sense of it.
It is sad and quite scary some of the things going on but the politics, beurocracy, and financial reasons that impede social change seem insurmountable sometimes.
Be the change you want to see in the world. that's my solution so far.

Mine does this as well sometimes. There is either some logical answer or the ghost in your house wants to watch tv.

My boys are driving me crazy! I'm trying to get together a list of places to eat at on our next trip and Beaches and Cream was on it for a DHS day and now the boys don't want to go there! The ones who don't want to go are the 2 that can eat ice cream LOL. Now I have to find a place for lunch to replace it with I really just want to get the rest of the budget set!

Show them the menu if they still don't want to go book it anyway if YOU want it. They can always drink water while you eat then get them their meals after. Heck, feed them before so they don't bother you during your meal.

I think we're pretty safe on this thread that any misunderstandings will be worked out, unlike "other" threads where people aren't as supportive and it has nothing to do with emoticons.

I can attest to that - I watched soaps during college and my grades suffered as a result. Well, I'm sure partying was a factor as well.

I loved to party....TV, didn't have one. We had a group TV in the lounge. Never watched it. I'm not as much into TV, now that hubby watches westerns.

I do the same except I use Mrs. Dash and line my baking tray with foil for easier clean-up.
