The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ugh! It's snowing like gang-busters here, and Son #2 has ZERO snow experience, so I won't let him drive the GF home. (Keep in mind, he only has his learner's permit, so I have to be in the car anyway.)
So, the big old dummy kicks up a fuss, acts like a total a$$, and decides to call for a cab, rather than acquiesce to me driving. In the meantime GF has to be home soon in order to catch her ride back to school.

And I'm the bad guy here?

Oh yeah, I paid for his full driving instruction classes (almost a $1000) for 10 or so hours of in-class training, 10 hours of e-learning, and 13 in-car driving lessons, plus use of their car for the road test. So far, he has only completed the in-class component. He has one year to complete the whole program. That year is up in February.

Dang, I miss my farm.
Now what to play?

I don't have games I've been adicted to however I have a few that I play when I am bored out of my wits, generally as I am subjected to long winded speeches and pitches. I multi task well and I find it calming and it keeps me from wanting to jump out of my comfy chair during a board meeting with the desire to slap someone. ;)

That's cool you are a beer connossier, if that is the right word? I'm curious if you like the warm beers I think they are called stout?

Thank you, but, I'm no connoisseur. ;) Although, I obviously love beer and do know a little about it. :)
And yes, I do like beers like Guinness Extra Stout better at room temperature than refrigerated. They just have a more full, smooth flavor that way, to me. :)

I very seldom drink beer, but, when I do I put ice in it. I don't like beer unless it is ice cold. It's a habit I picked up when I was in Vietnam where HOT beer was the norm.

Hey, did I tell you my youngest son got ZERO credits last year? And only four the year before?
Does anyone seriously think I would discourage him from working; full-time; at a job he loves; that offers opportunity to advance; to go back and squander away another year?
Not at this stage, that's for sure.

You have the tolerance of Job. I would have shipped his little butt off to Military School back the first time with 4 credits.

I actually like most beer ice cold. The colder the better. The taste of those just appeals to me more at room temperature. And, I don't usually choose to drink those stouts during the warmer/hotter months, as nothin' but a cold beer will do.
If I had been in those tropical conditions for that long, I'm sure I woulda' put ice in my brew when I could, too.

I can correctly answer all those questions :) - including the Snookie one :(

As did the Texas Tech students. It was highly misrepresented but it captured attention. They just asked a bunch of students until they receive a wrong answer and omit anyone who answers correctly. Lots and lots of editing to make Texas Tech look stupid. Humans. It may be sad that there are ANY college students who don't know these things but that by no means they represent the majority, they just are edited out.
