A couple more pictures of Bistrot Chez Remy

After dinner we went back to Disneyland Park.

There were a lot more stairs to this Swiss Family treehouse than I remembered in the WDW version.

We did a walk through of the castle, it included gorgeous stained glass windows, tapestries, and even going on a balcony outside the castle.

Oh I hate wearing things on my wrist! I used to get AAA tickets ($% more than my dh would pay at work) but with diamond parking gone and his discount is even better now no more AAA tickets for me.:(

I haven't driven a car in the WDW area for probably15 years at this point. (I just take all kinds of public transportation, whether it's from Disney or other, or a taxi.) Anyway, I remember hearing that they were going to take away the AAA Diamond Parking in the lots, and I couldn't understand that. I know that for the people who drive around WDW, that was a major perk from AAA. I've wondered if AAA was being charged to much, or if Disney just decided to take back that space for their own usage.

Reading was one thing I loved at school. It opened a whole new world to me. I loved, and still do love mysteries. The Hardy Boys were my favorite, in elementary. The classic books, almost killed my love of reading. I never could get Poe, and Shakespear.

It wasn't that I didn't like reading. What I didn't like were these forced quotas for summer reading, or reading exactly the books they wanted you to read. We had plenty of books in the house and sometimes I'd go off in a corner and read; but that wasn't "required" reading; it was reading that I enjoyed. Even now, I enjoy reading; but I'm still picky about what I want to read! ;)

@ajrwdwgirl , I like how the meet and greets are outdoors, it seems, for the most part at DLP. It appears as though you got to see more characters than here at WDW. I think that may be because so many of the meet and greets are indoors at WDW.

As usual, great photos! I laughed at the one with your hubby in the car; he looked like a real speed demon, leading the pack of cars!

The pictures of the castle were gorgeous. Seems like you get a much better tour of the inside, over in DLP than you do at WDW. Those were fun pix of Bistro Chez Remy; nicely themed inside. :)

Thanks, there are a couple indoor meet and greats at DLP. Later in the day they move Mickey into his own building in Fantasyland and leave Minnie in that spot outdoors on her own. There is also a princess hall indoors, we didn't do that the line was always huge. Otherwise most of the meet and greets were outside. We did see a few random characters around, like we saw Gepetto and Pinocchio, that kind of reminded me of DL in California where sometimes characters show up places.

Same thing used to happen (years ago . . .) at WDW in Florida, too. ;) I recall some funny encounters when characters would appear randomly; one time Goofy walked up behind a middle-aged man, and the man happened to glance behind him, and he practically screamed when he saw Goofy's face! (Keep in mind, Goofy was tall, too.) People all around were laughing. Good (unscripted . . . ) times. :joyfull:

Haven't seen either Minions movie yet. A friend of mine saw it yesterday as well, and she thought it wasn't anything special (I don't know if she saw the first one, but I assume she did as she has two children).

Most movies I never see in theaters, but on DVD months after the fact. I'm a little slow . . . :p
You don't have to have kids to see a kid's movie. ;) :D

I know what you mean, it seems as if a lot of the marketing for adult travel includes spas, casinos, and bars. I am not a huge fan of those, except maybe the bars. But with the bars, I don't want it loud or like a club atmosphere, just a nice place to relax, talk, and enjoy a drink or two. The spas at vacation destinations are always super expensive compared to getting a massage in my hometown, and I don't do that frequently (only 3 times in my life). Maybe that is why I still need to travel to Disney places, I'm just not adult enough for other places!
I like both kinds of places, mainly because I don't do the adult things, when everyone is there, I feel like I have the boat to my self. I forgot about the putt putt. We did that while everyone was doing dinner, and had the course to ourselves. You learn how to navigate the "adult " boats, stay away from a smoke filled casino, do the track, at least , for us, we went four times, around the track....walking, after each meal. I lost a pound on the Oasis. After a week. I loved breathing the salt air, so good for asthma. Those were my favorite things to do. They went to a standard drink menu, and it was not good. Glad for that, I had no temptation, after the first two drinks! The food was so so, but I wasn't tempted to over eat as well. I did love watching people doing the zip line, and wave rider. They had a fun belly flop contest, and a really good diving show, that had former Olympic champions. So both ships have fun things to do. We have gone to Disney since it opened. We were looking for something different. RCL has different things to do , along with going to the "islands". The islands weren't the highlight, though. If you have seen one, you have pretty much seen them all. This is 1/2 pennies worth. ;)

I agree completely, forced reading of chosen books, is no fun at all. I had to do a speed reading course. That was when Evelyn Wood course was popular. That was horrible, I like to take my time and enjoy the ride.
