any reason of why the reason of preferring Carnival?

I am scared of that brand after reading of their consecutive "poop" cruises.
If I go to Caribbean, I will definitively be either Disney or Royal C.
If you like a more adult cruise, go Royal C. their Oasis Class ships are wonderful, lots to do or not do. Whatever your style of cruising. Just my two penny's worth.

Now, across the street, there are more stairs. You can see the twin towers in the background getting closer but it looks like the hike to get to them is still taller than the buildings are.

funnily, I used to sleep very nicely with the vibration humm of our old central A/C unit.
Now after my dad's passing. I always get up instantly on any vibration. I fear some thief might enter by forcing doors open..etc..

speaking of stuff..

I'm angry in ways I cant describe right now.

Our president as been the worst piece of s... my country has faced.
He as been selling or ruining every government owned company.. ruining the insurance and health care as well...already breaking apart the company that gives the most to the coffers (needed to run the country). Aka PEMEX..
Also has been a total inept in stopping the NARCs.. infact, its rumored that he made a pact with a few of them.
And now they barely stop real narcs. Hell, the military even killed civilians, who had formed defence groups to stop the narcs from terrorizing their towns.

And now.. just a mere day after this clown(the president) left with a gigantic groupie (of more than 350 people, including family members.. as a total waste of resources) to france. One of the top narcs that were recaptured a few years ago, escaped today.
This guy is a monster.. has a fortune near the top 50 of FORBES and can easily topple small countries.

I'm seriously ashamed of how dirty and crappy the political class of my country is.
At this rate we will be in the same levels of an African Nation with barely any control.
But instead of having rebellions of a random General wanting a coup d'etat.. we will get narc wars.
Sorry to hear that about your government. How long does your President serve? I hope for your countries sake, not long!

Never have sailed on Carnival but I have done Royal C, Princess and Disney. Favorite to sail is still Disney. And not just because of the disney "stuff". Just think the ships are nicer, the service is better, and the entertainment is better. But I still really like Royal C as well. Princess, not so much.

I had to chuckle, thinking about summer reading lists. As kids, all we wanted to do was play all summer. I recall my sister, brothers and myself would get all the books we were supposed to read over the summer, just 4 days before school was to start up again; and we'd have these cram reading sessions! It was painful! :in pain:

And, back when I was in the lower grades (2 through 4), we had to read about 6 books over the summer, but we were allowed to choose whatever books we wanted from the library. So, I'd follow the same pattern of going to the library about 4 days before school started, and I'd pick out the skinniest books I could find!! :D :joyfull: As you can tell, my life wasn't exactly destined for induction into Mensa . . . ;)
Reading was one thing I loved at school. It opened a whole new world to me. I loved, and still do love mysteries. The Hardy Boys were my favorite, in elementary. The classic books, almost killed my love of reading. I never could get Poe, and Shakespear.

I don't know if we can be friends now ;). I used to hate the Tiki Birds as a kid/teen, my poor mom loved it and I sat there moping. Now I love it. I really like it at Disneyland where they allow and encourage you to bring in your Dole Whip into the theater. Peter Pan is magical with the "flying" pirate ship, but I don't really like the movie. And the ride is just so dang short for the wait time. However, these are usually experienced just once per trip, Big Thunder one the other hand I could ride that all day!
I love Tiki as well, one of my favorite things to do. Funny how we all like different things.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
most buildings at DHS were inspired by actual buildings in California.

Very interesting series of articles can be found here:

I've read that article before. Fascinating!

It made me pay more attention to the buildings the next time I strolled through DHS, and appreciate them even more.
