They've been okay. Definitely not as good as at home, but not as bad as two years ago. Two years ago, it was cooler and wetter, and there were flowers blooming everywhere. This year, it's hot (very hot, much hotter than the previous trips) and nothing is blooming. Guess which one is better for allergies? This time I can actually sit outside at night without clawing my eyes out. Having more allergy/asthma meds helps.

Only had two issues since being here. The other day, something bit me and I broke out in hives. I went back to the room and took some benadryl. Also, my eczema, which hasn't been there in years, has returned. Hoping when I go home, it goes away again.

Other than that, I'm just hyper aware of my surroundings. At the Hilton, they had mostly fake leis, so that helped. Here, I note where leis, flowers, etc. are, and stay away. All of us got the nut leis, not the flower ones. They last longer anyway. :)
I've never heard of nut leis.

Here's a website with some ideas for infused water (I guess avoid flavored water, since it tends to have empty calories): http://hellonatural.co/infused-water-ideas/

Water is definitely good for flushing toxins and boosting your metabolism, which will help you lose weight.
dont forget this important addon:

 Gravity Falls isn't on Cartoon Network, it's on Disney XD. CN has been doing excellent actually and are showing new episodes of all their current line-up all summer and introducing new programs for their schedule now for fall. They're also bringing in some good ratings with their starting the next installment of Ninjago (one of my daughter's favs) this week. Power Puff Girls are getting a reboot and another season of Total Drama Island (one of my all-time favs) will be upcoming too.

Nick has been relying heavily on TMNT and, surprisingly, Rabbids for their weekend morning ratings. Nick seriously needs to look into their animation scheduling because showing six hours of Spongebob everyday is not helping, considering the ONE new episode (showing before the Sports Award show) will be the first since 2013. The latest movie, IMO, was carp except for the live action bit (which there wasn't enough of). After being on Nick for SIXTEEN years it's time for Spongebob and Patrick to get some seahorses and ride off into the sunset.
We have Gravity falls in Mexico in both Disney XD and CN ((o_O))
Infact, we sometimes get Nick shows on CN latinamerica.

and agree with you on Nick.

I'm not sure what you have in your grocery stores in Mexico, but up here, I found a solution to my barbecue ribs crisis. A number of companies pre-cook them and then shrink-wrap them. You just buy a package or two and all you have to do is heat them up (they already have the barbecue sauce on them) on the grill for about 5 minutes each side, over hot coals. I tried this 2 weeks ago, and they came out yummy!! And, it was so easy!! :joyfull: :hungry:

Oh, they also come out good in a crock pot (not the pre-cooked ones, just the regular ribs you'd buy at a market), but the crock pot version doesn't have the same sort of "grilled" texture as cooking them on a grill.
I think that would be Costco and Sam's. But I havent seen the ones precooked and pre-sauced.
They only sell raw ribs as far I know.
or fully cooked ones (which are ok, but not delicious like those I had at Houston BBQ joints)

I don't get that either figgy, a Taxi ride is a lot cheaper than a new car, or injury.
The sad part is, this behavior is not exclusive to drunks. There are people who are Blatantly stupid.

All to save mere seconds in their schedule.. they have to rely on very sharp turns and run around other cars.

Yesterday for example, I was very annoyed. because I was going at 5Km/h above the speed limit. I Following my mother to get her jeep to repair (I was right behind her car).
Then a clown uses the right emergency lane (which is used for emergency stops and is around 60% of the size of a normal lane) to try to go around me, then after finding a car stopped at the emergency lane a few meters away.. he lowered the speed, turned to the left, returned to the lane I was.. then upped the speed.
Going at 120Km/h, he went past me using the left lane, then chunked between my mother jeep's and my car (by braking hard and lodging between the small space between me and my mother's car).

Then.. Guess what he did? he turned right hard to take the highway exit to take another road.
Total saved time by his reckless stunts?.. HALF SECOND.

For example, when I opened my bank account yesterday, I learned two things: (1) all banks close by 1:00 in the afternoon and then reopen at 4:00 in the afternoon; and (2) Israelis love paperwork! The bank made me sign a whole thick book of paperwork, each and every page had to be signed! Today, I got an Israeli cell phone carrier for my iPhone and, they too, made me sign a whole thick book of papers, each and every page!
Thats pretty usual in my country as well.
Is it really that easy to open a bank account or cell phone in the USA?

I like your details. Does the bank workers get the afternoon off, or do they do paperwork? Thanks for the trip report. :D
They get the afternoon off.

Also, I had to pick a health insurance provider when I got here yesterday at the airport. I thought they were all government owned and were the same so I picked one at random. When O told my relative here which one I chose, he told me the story about it...

There used to be one company that was government owned but recently it was privatized, allowing people to choose a provider. So, the former goverment owned provider is now private and there are two other big providers. It just happened to be that Tbe one I picked is the former government owned one. My relative here explained to me that I chose the wrong company because "everyone working there still has socialist bureaucratic habits; and, the other one is very competitive - a true capitalist.

Ah, such a good samaritan! It's nice to know there are people like you in the world. I encounter so many inconsiderate idiots on my daily commute!

Thanks! :)

My biggest pet peeve on my commute are the "Left Lane Bandits". Even cops will tell you (I know 2 personally) even if your doin' 100 mph, if your not passing anyone, keep your rear over in the right lane, 'cause someone is always gonna' come along that wants go faster than you, and all your doin' by playin' "Pace Car" is impeding the flow of traffic and in' off people who would simply like to go around you.
Which, of course, is why a lot of idiots do it in the first place.

Oh, here's something interesting. In the city I'm staying at, Netanya, you have a mix of all kinds of people - white, black, Jews, Muslims, religious Jews, non-religious Jews, religious Muslims, and non-religious Muslims - all living together in the same neighborhoods - totally different than what I was told how the situation is in other parts of the country. The thing is, though, there's a drastic sharp contrast is what the religious people wear and what the non-religious people wear. Woman who are religious (Jewish or Muslim) are fully covered in clothing in this very hot weather. Woman who aren't religious wear clothes that are skimpy even by South Beach Miami standards!
