Thanks for asking Minnie.

I'm on the mend. I took my brace off to eat dinner (so I won't get food on it, I put it flat on the table next to me, sometimes ice it during dinner) and noticed there was less swelling that the bump had gotten a bit smaller, so it's healing, but it's going to take a while. I'm going to be in the splint for the Hawaii trip the entire time except while swimming (but if I come out of the water for any extended period of time, the splint goes on.

I can type for short periods on my tablet, then I have to take a break. It hurts after a while. Not sure why since it's my thumb that's injured, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

FYI, this is the state of my arm for the next 3-4 weeks (at least).

That's odd, as it's a leather bag, and not synthetic (which I would assume would contain all kinds of chemicals in the manufacturing process). I wonder if it's the inside lining that's being targeted. I've seen that CA Residents: Proposition 65 warning on a number of things (not just from the Disney Store).
leather actually can have different kind of chemicals, some of them poisons or heavy acids.

https://sites.google.com/site/isttschool/useful-information/chemicals-used-in-leather-processing

the problem is, some cheap companies (like chinese manufacturers) do not clean the leather well after processing.
which means the leather + sweat = chemicals absorbed in the skin
thus cancer.

I'm also pretty sure that the mayority of online sites, only shows the approved US chemicals for leather treatment.
The Chinese, indians..etc.. might be still using the old Lead + acids + salts.. techniques with barely protection.

Thanks. Sadly, the nails are no more. It was a high maintenance manicure that I kept for just the weekend. I tinted my nails a while back and have been covering them with nail polish, but don't feel like having to keep them polished while in Hawaii, so I soaked them in lemon juice, buffed them down, and got rid of the tint. Took me over two hours, but the tint is gone. Tonight I'll put some strengthening nail polish on them, and then might use 60 second polish on them while over there. :) Feels weird not wearing polish after months of always having it.

I think I enjoy HOP because I'm always amazed at all the different mannerisms of the AAs.

Me, too. The designers were creative, and probably worked with some talented electrical guys to produce these amazing AAs. I don't think that absolutely everything needs to be new and cutting edge to be effective entertainment. I have admiration for the unique talent behind what was created years ago. These AAs have a life of their own, and have withstood the test of time. I guess that's another reason why I also like COP so much, too. :)

HELP! LOL OMG I thought with 1/2 days I'd get caught up around here with some help from my boys. LOL Not so much! This morning was middle school awards day, so I went, James got straight As and perfect attendance. I'd be shouting from the rooftop if ...... Now my dh is home and putting in the A/C. I've already heard some not so lovely language as the boys borrowed some tools and they were blaming each other instead of getting them. Oh well there's always tomorrow. oops not so much as it's going to be really good walking weather in the morning. Oh well at least the laundry's caught up. Hope you're all having a great day.

Congratulations on your son getting straight A's and perfect attendance.
