Yep, I was out several years ago when Disney went to Chicken Dogs. If you are going to have a hot dog stand, let it be a hot dog stand. People travel from all areas of the globe, a chicken dog is not a fair representation of a hot dog. The Ice Cream Parlor decor isn't by any stretch a representation of USA Baseball. The New Casey's is just a giant miss on imagineering. Fixed what was not broken, again.

Great 'ole pictures.

Yea, I had to pull those up, 'cause you are so very right about the disconnect in theming that now exists.

...though I do see Lou Malnati's in our future this weekend even if it is take out. :hungry:

That sounds sooo very good right about now. Believe it or not, we do have some places here that serve really good Chicago-style deep dish pizza. We used to frequent a place called Conan's Pizza back in the day. There are 3 locations here. Really good! :hungry:

On a side note: Rumor has it that it was started as a front for a marijuana operation, but, everyone liked their pizza so much (probably from the munchies :hilarious:) that they decided to go legit...! :D

Such a long day! School is finally over for another year. YAY! We went to A&W to celebrate then went to a Cavs party this evening. (Even though I don't particularly care for basketball.) Now this weekend we are going to stay in Cleveland and will be going to the outside watch party for the next game. :)

Hmpf. A week off...we could have had lunch.

theres many opportunities for attractions that DO NOT NEED to be character based.

I'm in your camp. I use to love the break from all the animation when visiting Epcot, then little by little they started intro'ing buses with characters, but most of it was pretty by chance. One year I remember big blow up Fab Five balloons in each pavilion during the illumination show. Back then I could have never imagined a pavilion being changed to represent a movie over the country it once was. While I might dislike some decisions I tend not to be all that surprised these days.

American Adventure is a quality show and the preshow is excellent too downstairs. We always hit it for the quality and because there are far less options in the World Showcase to pick between and there isn't a wait. I can only watch those movies in the other pavilions every so often. I'd like to see something happen in Germany since they have the space built in. So many food and adult beverage options, shopping experiences galore, attractions are lacking in the WS.

Yea, The American Adventure still gets to me, in a very good way, every single time.
Such a well-done attraction, all the way around, IMO. :)
