Heading out shopping in a bit hoping to finally get enough clothes to get me through the summer. 10% off everything even sale and clearance! It's the one store where I can usually find clothes that fit! I hate walking into stores and sometimes they don't carry my size!:banghead: I hate doing alterations!

Alterations are necessary a lot for me, and I can't stand paying more money just to have something fit me correctly. I wish I was wealthy and could have a seamstress make me custom fit clothing!!! ;)

This school year is officially done for the year! Time to relax and recharge a little and get ready for the craziness of the next school year!

Congratulations for finishing up the school year. :cat: I have no doubt that you made a significant contribution to the children's lives over the past academic year. Good school teachers contribute to the future success of the country.

Even now, there are flashbacks I have of things taught to me by specific teachers. I have a real appreciation for the lessons many of them shared with me, that are still relevant in my life today.

I can do all my own, so even if I had the money, no excuse not to do it myself:mad::banghead:

I have a sewing machine that I haven't used in years. It would mean I'd have to get it out of the box and take it to some sort of sewing machine shop to have it all tuned up, oiled, etc. Never was any good at sewing, but I know I could at least shorten a pair of slacks an inch, and save myself about $15 at the tailor's. But I don't . . . lazy! :in pain:

So I was looking at DL restaurants. Realized we can just do quick service most of the time and I am totally fine with that!

You know, you're at a theme park, and a vacation is a relatively short time. If you don't have fancy, special meals, it's not going to kill you. Just go and enjoy lower priced options (quick service) as I do, and focus on the fun that you and your family will be having in the park! You can always return to healthier eating once you return home. At least that's how I feel. :)

I really have no excuse, my machine is always out and ready to go, as far as just hemming goes, I think doing that by hand is better.

Good morning I am so enjoying my lovely summer weather! Yesterday's shopping a partial bust! Now before all of you think I have a shopping problem (ok maybe a little) Let me explain. I have nothing that fits or is acceptable for public consumption, except my athletic gear. Yesterday's haul 1 pair of shorts and 2 camisoles to wear under other tops. Woo hoo now I own 2 pairs of shorts that I'd have no problem wearing anywhere and 2 that I could wear some places (AK or Universal yes, but I don't think I'd wear them in EPCOT if that makes sense) Is it too much to ask to be able to buy shorts that are not too short or don't already come ripped. I can't believe in a decent sized store 1 pair of shorts in my size that are socially acceptable! ok rant over time for some coffee.

I hear you. This is why I rarely wear shorts; I just don't like them. I wear capris in a very light summer fabric and they're just a cool as shorts in the hot weather. Capris are what I wore at WDW a few weeks ago, and I was fine. Plus they had cargo pockets which came in handy a few times, too. :)

@seahawk7 , just wanted to see how the post-WDW vacation reentry is going for you and your kids. It's always a bummer to return from so much fun, enjoying sweet treats and tasty food, being outdoors and exercising every day, etc. But I also find that aside of all that, I'm a lot more relaxed in general, once I return home from vacation. Things tend to not bother me as much, etc. It's therapeutic to get a change of scenery, schedule, etc., from time to time. So I hope you're also feeling better now, too. :)

Speaking of time zones I've always wondered how people that live right on a time zone line that cuts through a state know what time it is. I would imagine the line actually cuts through houses. It could be 5pm in the living room and 4pm in the kitchen.
That would come in real handy if you are late for work... go to the other room and you have an hour to spare. Or if you are on your death bed... roll into the next room and gain an hour to think about it. Never mind that last one has a flaw or two in it. ;)
