Not making excuses as I am not a fan of this. However, this is common practice nowadays. Including training their replacements. I love my company and they do a lot of good. But they also did something similar. We started to outsource much of our general IT support to Accenture. And these individuals are based out of India. Did something similar to another branch, which is now out of the Philippines.

It is so much cheaper to outsource these roles. Ridiculously cheaper. And when you are a global company and not just an American company anymore, this happens a lot. Again, not exactly a fan but I understand the reasons.

The University my DD works for also outsources to India for inquiries. It is a head scratched to her. Nothing like an individual answering questions that has never stepped foot in the country let alone the University clarifying questions for prospective students here from across the globe.

Really? I didn't know that the mini-golf was included with the WP Fun and more add-on. I had this option on my tickets and I think I might have had about 5 times I could use either the water parks or DisneyQuest, but I didn't know the mini-golf was included. That's good to know for next time. Because I usually stay at the Swan, I think one of the mini-golf places is very close to the Dolphin (which is right next to the Swan). I'll have to check that out next time! :)

And that is still my favorite mini golf. Very creative, very challenging.

Oh, fiddlesticks! I saw a few people reference a funny, unlimited fastpass thread this morning. Just before I headed out to work I finally found it and could see below it that it had multiple pages. Because I had to run out for my bus, I figured I'd just read it tonight when I got home, and now I just read here that it was taken down. Why is it gone? Were people battling again about how some people like fastpass and some people don't like it? I hate it when a thread is pulled before I can get to read it!! :( I blame work. It interferes with me keeping up with WDW Magic.

I missed all the fun.

Yes it's within walking distance except for the traffic. We've driven by many times and have yet to stop.

Good morning! I had a wonderful night last night. It looks like the boys and I talked my dh into doing the WP&M option. Now we're trying to figure out if we are going to hop. I've never paid to hop. I haven't hopped since hopping was only done on the monorail. Talk about way back. LOL I guess that decision is going to be based on where we decide we want to make our ADRs. I'm thinking it might be worth it just to add a bit flex time to our schedule. We have a bit of time to decide. I hope your night went as well as mine.

Oh my. That link was just a little bit of aviation Heaven for me! :)
Along with those T-6 Texan trainers and that Corsair, I'm very familiar with the air racer "Precious Metal". Heavily modified P-51 Mustang, with a WWII era 3,200 hp Rolls Royce Griffon engine with contra-rotating props...! :inlove:

I'm not supposed to know about this 'cause it was supposed to be a surprise (it was postponed due to the bad Memorial Day weather), but, the fam had me set up for an hour-long flight over the Texas Hill Country in a WWII era C-47 (DC-3) transport, over that weekend up in Fredericksburg, Texas (hometown of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz and the home of the Museum of the Pacific War). It's been rescheduled for Labor Day...! :)

OMG!!! This is so exciting!!! An hour-long ride in a C-47??!!! :jawdrop: :joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: Now THAT's what I call a BIRTHDAY PRESENT!!!!!!!!!!:happy::happy: You must be counting down the days!!

I have always had the hoppers, because I like the option of hopping to a different park, if the one I'm in gets just too crowded, etc.

Also, if you're the pre-planning ADR type, you might want to have the option of different restaurants that might not necessarily be in the park you're at, on any particular day. Just be sure to allow enough time for transportation, bag checks at the front gate of the other park, etc., if you have reservations for dinner.

I also have added the water parks, etc. option for maybe the past 8 years or so. For the amount of extra options they give you, it's not expensive at all. I'll bet your kids will love the water parks. Also, any time I go to Typhoon Lagoon, it's not far from Downtown Disney (Springs), and I'll just go over there and poke around for a while. I like Earl of Sandwich and also Wolfgang Puck's express there. And don't forget--Ghiradelli ice cream sundaes!! :hungry: (A price warning about their sundaes this year: the price has gone closer to the $10 mark! I was floored when I was down there a few weeks ago. Luckily, I had a coupon for $1.00 off, I think it was, that I had cut out of my Birnbaum's book and taken with me from home.)

I just read an article about Disney in the New York Times, "Last Task After Layoff at Disney: Train Foreign Replacements." It was written by By JULIA PRESTON. Ashamed of what Disney did American workers in favor of foreigners.

Everybody business and country does it. Europe is more restricted then we are but I'm sure they still have cases like this. Technology is the number one culprit though.

errr.. of where?

of the world. *evil laughter*

My former dumb governor, seriously (he said he wanted a Christmas tree to be a holiday tree and other things) announced he was running today for US president (along with everybody else) so I figured I would announce too.

The PM of the UK is not elected by the people per say. He or she is head of the party that is holding power. Doesn't have to be the majority.
