My favorite teddy bear when I was little. I wasn't into dolls much. Santa brought three matching Panda's. I loved them for years.

I wasn't into dolls either. I played GI Joe, cowboys and just about every sport. I never played house. :cautious: When I lived in the City my 2 boy cousins a year/2 years older lived next door. When we moved to the suburbs there were all sorts of boys my age, no girls. I grew up a Tomboy, never really outgrew that.

My Teddy Bear when small that I was very attached to was Yogi Bear.

Well, might as well tell you all some of what's going on now that I know more...

A while ago, I twisted my thumb and heard a pop, reaching into my purse. I was trying not to use the hand and was wearing an ace bandage, but got concerned by a raised bump at the base of the thumb. I went to get it checked out, and it turns out that I tore the ligament. Doctor thinks it's just a partial tear. I hope he's right. So I'm in a splint (thankfully he says swimming is still okay) for four weeks. Typing on my laptop/Surface is really tough right now, and I can only do a one finger tap on my iPod, so you probably won't see me too much for a while.

The only good part about all of this is no dishes for four weeks...:angelic:

Oh my.
Hope it gets better soon! :)

His other good one was last night! He wants to drop 10 pound by the time we leave for Disney next year.(His good summer clothes are just a bit snugger than he likes) A pound a month is quite doable. So he starts a rant on how much easier it is for women to lose weight! ROFLOL time! He said it's not fair I've already hit my goal weight for the next trip! LOL EASIER????????????????? I don't count calories, carbs or fat, but I'm vegan, no refined sugar and work out 6 days a week! No booze either! Except on vacation or holidays! Easier LOL

Actually that is the first time I've ever heard it is easier for women to loose weight. Going to see my sis, can't wait to see what the world of vegan brings me. At least her DD is a simple vegetarian, maybe I can eat off her plate.

I'm funny like that. Would it surprise you if I said I buy high thread count sheets and 100% cotton blankets all in white so I can bleach the sheets and blankets? Even the pillow shams are white.

But if I look down on my kitchen floor it is cleaned with Lysol however I can always see little tuffs of Walter Pup fur.
I limit my OCD obsessions. :geek:

Nope. None of that surprises me at all. ;)

Oh, that was special to see a young giraffe with his mom. I've never seen one before. Years ago, I did stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge (before the DVC building was built), and I used to love to go out on my balcony (Arusha Savannah) around 5 AM, and watch for the animals. I think it was around 6 AM or so, that the ground crew would drive up in pickup trucks, and they'd have branches in the back. They'd drive up to a tree and "plant" these thin branches to lure the giraffes up to the trees closest to the lodge, so that the guests would have a close up view. The giraffes were used to seeing the trucks, and one giraffe was so funny. He didn't bother to wait for the CM's to put the branches up in the trees; he just went up to the truck and started munching branches, right from the back of the open pick-up!! :hilarious:

It isn't that the steak needs A-1, I love the taste of A-1. To me a little dab compliments the taste of the steak.

Same way I am a big fan of Kona's grilled teriyaki steak. While the steak might not need the additional flavors, to me the added flavors make the steak beyond yumalishish. :hungry:

Yep, the only "sauce" I need with my steak is the red one runnin' out of it. ;) :hungry:
Different strokes...! :)

Awe. Happy for her. Happy for you! Enjoy.

My DD loved her toddler bed. It was a Little Tykes and had a cubby for her juice/water cup too. She called it her Barney Bed 'cause of the comforter and she loved that purple dinosaur.

We got her a toddler bed after I entered the room, she was sound asleep on the floor with her blanket and the crib side was still up. No idea how she got out of there, she was tiny for her age but knew it wasn't good.

Oh yea, Barney it was here too.

I'd love to stay longer, too, (and have more expendable funds) and get to do all the other things. I do take in the water parks though, but just for a few hours each. Even if I had the extra time, I'd never spend a whole day at a water park.

A long time ago, I rented out one of those little MIce boats on the 7 Seas Lagoon--it was a blast. I'd also like to go parasailing, and go on a horseback ride at Fort Wilderness. Mini golf looks fun. I'd also like to go on a fishing excursion on one of those pontoon boats (I don't know how to fish, but maybe they'd show me? o_O )

It would also be fun to go and explore Orlando; I haven't been up there in years. It's also been quite a while since I was out in Kissimmee, or up to Clermont to the Florida Citrus Tower and orange grove areas. Haven't been out to the Cocoa area to the space station in ages, but I recall that was fun out there.

Have you ever tried to drive one of those airboats, somewhere off Rte. 192 around Kissimmee? One time, a friend of mine and I rented one (c'mon . . . a couple of city chicks attempting to drive an airboat through the Florida swamps?? :hilarious: :hilarious: ) and guess who drove it? Me!!! It didn't go very fast (thank goodness), but it made up for it in NOISE--those airboats are LOUD. I nearly rammed into another airboat and missed it by inches! You should have seen the look on the guy's face in that other boat! Good times! :joyfull: :joyfull:
As much as I love Disney or WDW in particular, I have always done exploring outside the parks. I don't mean just to other parks like Uni or SeaWorld. I have found places that I didn't know existed like Boc Tower. It is such a quiet place. I sat on a bench under a big live Oak (complete with moss) and promptly fell asleep. Years ago I went to Cyprus Gardens when it still was that and the Citrus Tower on my way to Silver Springs and back then it was just miles and miles of oranges. Not so much anymore because the Fruit Fly wiped a lot of the trees out. Still some, but not as many as there once was. I have gone to the beaches on both sides of the state for day trips, wandered the back roads just to see what the real Central Florida looked like. Taken a helicopter tour over WDW from a site on 127 and took pictures from above all the parks except MK which had a no fly zone in affect at the time. Gatorland, The Sunshine Bridge on the other side of Tampa. I even took an overnight trip to Key West and stopped at every pull off on the road. I could sit in my car and look to my left and see the Atlantic Ocean and then glance to the right and be looking at the Gulf of Mexico (same water, different name). Ended up driving back through the Everglades after midnight. I never met another car or saw one in front or behind. Cranked up the radio and just enjoyed the trip. I forget the name of the town where the big Orange Juice factory is located, it's not to far from Kissimmee, but the smell of orange blossoms were so strong and wonderful it was amazing.

So I have this affliction that doesn't allow me to sit in one spot for very long before I become bored to tears, but, I'm not complaining because I have seen a lot by just letting my wandering mind lead the way.

Yep, so much to do. The Space Center and the airboat are definitely calling me. Love your airboat story...!!! :joyfull:

One of the partners at the firm just got back to the office this morning from 4 days in Central Florida. It was business, but, they were able to spend from midnight to 3a this past Sat./Sun. at MK, and then visit both Uni parks Sun. We had a 30 min. conversation regarding both.
They're big Disney fans like us, but were really impressed with Uni.
We need to get some Uni into a trip, soon. :)

Hey all! I'm about a hundred pages behind in reading...OK, make that a thousand, but I'm hoping to be able to stop in and say HI a little more often as we head into the summer and I have a little more free time (excepting the weeks of band camp). Also, with a DW trip coming up in just over 3 weeks, I'll be getting on wdwmagic a lot more often in the coming days.

BTW - the Unlimited Fastpass with no conditions thread is one of the funniest things I've read in a while...

@figmentfan423 Wanted to mention this to you: if you decide to get wp passes, wait until you get down there. Here is why:

1. If you get there and it's just going to rain most of the week, obviously that's no good for water parks.
2. If you get there and it's unusually hot (100 degree heat index) the wps will just be insanely crowded and no fun. Speaking from experience here.

So even if you decide to add it, wait until you know the weather before you do. :)

Managers can add FPs on to your account that are good for any attraction any time of day (we had this happen after an issue with MM+ that we kept having to return to the front desk to get corrected) but...this is strange. And they usually add a certain number of uses. Weird thread.

Oh look, the eating in the bathroom thread is back!
