I also saw something on the evening news about this one, too. I remember at the time, that I thought to myself that I didn't recall ever hearing about tornadoes in Mexico. From the news film I saw, it looked really bad. What a tragedy for those people who lost their lives.

its amazing the destruction only 6 seconds caused.
and yeah tornados are very rare. We had a few F0's in the central states of Mexico and many waterspouts.. but nothing as strong as this.

I love those ketchup chips, and the cronut. Does anyone else make a list of treats to try before going to Disney? I'm working on my list right now. Trip is in 10 days.

Hello and welcome to our little corner of the forum. I too have a bond with Aristocrats. Many many years ago, (my kids are 20 somethings) when I was in high school my gymnastic routines were often set to the music from Aristocrats.

Does that include songs like "Scales And Arpeggios" from the film?

This was "Sometimes Island" near Mansfield Dam on Lake Travis, about 10 min. down the road from us, recently. Also referred to as "All-the-time Peninsula" in recent years...

they should build huge waterways to move the water from Colorado and other heavy rain areas to heavy drough zones like California

Southern California has been getting most of it's water from aqueducts, the Colorado River, etc., for as far back as I can remember. Without it, the place would be, essentially, a desert.

Been thinking of you as I see the reports. With all the rain we've had that you sent us our river has not gone over YET. We did the tornado warnings, one hit but far enough away from us, this has been a rocky week. As I said yesterday, uncle already. Thinking of you guys, be safe.

I just was watching on the news where a private firm has built a plant in California to convert Ocean water to fresh water. Hope that all works out, it could really help.

Yep, only a negligible amount of water is being produced that way there now.
The way things are lookin', that may be one of the methods they really need to step up.

Guess what? More storms coming I'm getting off the computer. We had a house hit down the street from last night's electrical storm. We, fortunately live one block from fire station, they sustained only minor damage.
