And here I am still happy with my iPhone 8. Probably because I never stream anything and even though I know this is going to sound ridicules, I use it to make and receive calls, text and occasionally e-mail.
Same here until last year. Some of family and friends spend their money in getting the latest model every year . I had a iPhone 6 for years until it conked out. Now I have a 13 which I don't see a big difference .

Because one of the major joys in aging is that your eyes weaken enough close up to make watching streamed things become just comical blotches of movement that are about 60% undefinable.
They make bigger iPhones, ya know. Just sayin'. Not that I'm encouraging you to give Apple more money; they have plenty. But they exist...

Apple is worth $3T. Not saying they would but Disney is worth $194B if for sale. I like the fact that Tim Cook lives in a modest home in Silicon Valley even though he's a billionaire.

Might be a good idea to practice using your new vacuum, in places other than your basement. I'm happy to invite you over here to see how it cleans our rooms. You could test the limits of the motor, to see if it survives after our challenge! :p
Unfortunately, I have big weekend plans.

I have this dresser that my parents bought when they got married. It's 38 years old and from Sears. It's been in my closet and been broken for years, but I haven't found anything I've liked enough to replace it. Well, now that I have taken a trip to IKEA, I have a new dresser, so yesterday I removed the offending dresser from the premisis, put it in my mother's car, and tomorrow, it's going to the dump. 🤣 Along with some other stuff that needs to go to the dump. Then, I am putting my new dresser together on Saturday and my new desk on Sunday. If there's time and I have the energy, the carpets down here also really need to be steam cleaned.

I'm not sure Apple would be allowed to buy Disney because of antitrust laws. Government isn't going to want it to get that big. Not to mention I doubt Disney would put itself up for sale; they're more in the business of acquiring. I've heard the rumblings, but that is my opinion.

Back in the day Comcast tried doing a hostile takeover of Disney but Disney's Board said that Comcast offer to buy the Mouse was too low.

Comcast owns Universal so I really doubt that Disney would ever favor them taking over even if the offer were high enough.

I just don't see them being up for sale at this point. They're going through a rough patch, but it's just doubtful.

Well, iGuess I know that, but the point is that I have no need along with no desire to squint to watch movies, etc. on my phone when I have 50 inch "Smart" TV in my living room and my 20 inch desk top computer screen available. I only have an iPhone because a few years back Sprint had a promotion that got me the "8" for around $50 when I signed up with Sprint coupled with the fact that I had an android flip phone up until then.

I use my phone strictly for things that I find useful to me and the new ones offer things that I don't need or want, so why spend that kind of money before my phone buys the farm. (dies) Later Sprint became T-Mobile and when I was looking for a cheaper provider they offered to drop down my monthly charge to $35 per month IF I bought (If I remember correctly) the i-11 for just $800. I passed and switched to Consumer Cellular for $20 per month and have had exactly the same coverage that T-Mobile was going to give me. I think Consumer Cellular uses their network anyway. That was two years ago and the old i-8 is still purring along.

In fact the "protective" case that I bought when I first got the phone cost me about $70 at the time, fell apart about a year ago, the phone was fine though. I did have a battery weaken and had stopped into the Apple Store and they quoted me over $100 to replace the battery. Then I found a small private cell phone store and they replaced it in just a little over 10 minutes and charged me $28.

Comcast is $100 billion in debt. Doubt anyone would even consider buying the company and taking on the debt.
